I just needed a good laugh. I'm still going to try to release it un harmed.abifae said:Awww! You scare it into spraying and suddenly it's gotta die?!?
Beautifully put sir! Sounds like a fun time was had by allFarmerJamie said:The skunk is now FREE!!! However, it went into the hole I thought was where the rat I saw was living.
What did learn today?
- it helps to stand upwind from any trapped skunk
- from the right angle, you can actually see the droplets of spray hanging in the air, glistening like pretty diamonds as they float gently down.
- being calm and in control is a good thing
- having a DS well-conditioned to trustingly follow dad's orders immediately and without question is a huge bonus.
- there are great folks here on this site, who, at the least, offer moral support in just about any situation.
- novel and slightly dangerous situations are great father/son bonding moments
Need now to re-assess the critter situation for next steps.
