Farmfresh City Homesteader - the sound of falling oaks.

My favorite Christmases are generally the ones I remember us making ornaments (the exception being the year I got my horse ;) ). I continued with my niece and nephews when they were younger - we made salt dough ornaments, melted crayons and plastic punch cups, cut snowflakes and put together construction paper chains. Our live tree was completely decorated in stuff the kids made.

ETA - lest anyone think my parents were extravagant gift givers , Jimmy was 16yrs old, sway backed and they paid $150 for him, all of his tack + delivery LOL

My hubby took the kids out on Sunday so I could get some sewing done in peace and when they came back my 5 yr old told me they had gone to the bookstore....for what? I said. "Daddy got you a beekeeping book for christmas, mommy."

Last night he told me to go online and just order the beehives as his xmas gift to me.

Don't you just love it when they come over to the dark side?

The day I get my husband to can something is the day I'll fall over in true amazement!

I'd love to have a real tree, but w/my allergies and Meniere's I don't want to risk it. :( So, I'm jealous.

I have had him for 32 years now - 30 years married in April th ! I'll be darned if I would start a project like THAT over. lau
HA! aint that right
