That's how I get a lot done on my days offFarmfresh said:I will tell you my secret weapon ... the putter!
That's exactly what I'm doing this week. I feel like I've gotten very little done, because I haven't done big exhausting chunks of anything. But I just walked in DS's room and went, "aaah, that's better!" so I must have made more progress with getting little bits done than I realized!Farmfresh said:I will tell you my secret weapon ... the putter!sunsaver said:Same here. FF, you always seem to get more done in a day than me, even though you dont get around so good. sometimes i wonder how you do it!
I start in early in the morning ... puttering. I rinse off the dishes and fill the sink with dishes and HOT water. Then I sit (and usually chat on here). In about 5 to 10 minutes I get up and shove the last of the dirty laundry down the close chute. Then I sit (and usually chat on here). In about 5 to 10 minutes I get up and start a load of laundry - maybe this time I will wash and rinse the plates, get a glass of iced tea and ... you guessed it SIT. If I do something particularly strenuous, like weeding a 20 foot row of okra from my little garden scooter (for example) I will actually have to lay down for about 30 minutes. Mowing my 40 x 120 lot (that is almost all garden and house and very little grass) plus my BIL's similar sized lot (where I am also planting) takes the better part of a whole day because I can only push the mower for about 10 to 15 minutes before I have to lay down (since by then my back is usually spasm-ing). I have always been a hard core multi-tasker, now with the added putter technology, I can still get quite a bit done in a day.
UNLESS I have to go to work. Work days I barely make it and when I am home I am totally trashed.
Work smart. Work short. Work often.
