I have 31 on my front porch....stinky little buggers....mine are 3 weeks old and I can't wait to get them into the tractor! I have no idea how much mine weigh but they are definitely eating a lot more lately. I feed them several times a day all they can eat in one sitting. How are you feeding yours? I've never done this before.....can you tell? :D

One of my friends cans a lot of her chicken - to use for quick meals. The rest she freezes for roasting.

Cut off all the meat, except the legs and thighs. Dice the white meat and cold pack raw into the jar, add 1 tsp salt/qt and water to allow 1/2 inch air space. The thighs and legs go into a different jar with salt and water. Process at 10# for 90 min for quarts. Pints process at 10# for 70min.

What do you do, FF?

WOW a great roasted chicken is more delish than a turkey.

My turkey seems to dry out all the time, but those chickens stay juicy! :)
