Where are you located that you get good, big berries at this time of year?
We are in Tucson, Arizona. The winter here is the best time to grow things.

I have my strawberries in an old broken down wheel barrow in the back yard.

Here is how it looked in Nov. of 09 when I planted them.

And I just took this picture right now for a comparison

I am feeding them with Gurney's Strawberry Food 8-2-4

They seem to like it!

We finally had breakfast at 1:00pm!!

Here is my plate

Over easy egg, hash browned potatoes stuffed with cheddar cheese, and half the strawberry..
And it was very sweet and nice!

To make the cheese filled hash browns, I added a bit of onion to the shredded potatoes, them put them in a sort of thin layer in the bottom of my iron frying pan, let them get nice and brown on one side, then flip them to the other side, they should stay together in a big circle, like a lacy pancake.

Then when the other side is nice and brown, put some shredded cheese on top of the circle, fold the circle of potatoes in half, and heat until the cheese inside is soft. You can then cut it into wedges to serve.
