Ugh....shopped all day. I hate it! But, needed to get materials for the bathroom re-do. Got tile for the shower floor, got tile for the shower walls, and got accent tile and got trim tile and now I got no more money, LOL! Actually, while the stuff is fairly pricey it ended up being a bit less than I thought. I still need to pick up hardy backer and a new shower head and the last big expense will be a new vanity. IF I can ever find one that I like enough. Those things are pricey for the 60 inch ones. Then of course we'll need a new faucet. Oh - and that's not even thinking about new backsplash for the kitchen. But, after shopping all day I still didn't find a back splash that I like more than what I already have.

Not much going on otherwise. This is kind of consuming us right now. I'd love to get my grands for spring break but I'm sure we'll be ankle deep in construction and down to just one full bath - yikes! We'd still have the other full bath upstairs and the half-bath downstairs so it's do-able. Just might be a bit inconvenient...

Hope I get to stay home all day tomorrow and be a farmer and not a shopper.

Maaaaaybe...…. after pics. I'm sure no one wants to see the bare pipe sticking outta my bathroom floor where the toilet used to be (and will be again when the new tile is down)!

Continued the shopping yesterday - ugh. Got the new shower fixtures and some kind of ridiculous valve-y thing that we had heck finding. UGH. I literally hate shopping. Still have NOT found a vanity that I love - or backsplash tile for the kitchen. Except - that I love black in a kitchen. Some years ago I had black cabinetry in my kitchen and I loved, loved, loved it! But, Hurricane Ike took those away...:( My kitchen granite has sort of brick red, tannish-pink (looks better than it sounds), and black veining running through. My new cabinetry is much lighter than I wanted - but it's what I got anyway. So, I'm very seriously considering black subway tile for the backsplash, I bought one tile and propped it up to get an idea and I think I like it. So.... ya never know!

DH is hanging mineral feeders in the barn. WOW! He literally never really does anything farm related. He does things, not trying to bash him, but for him to be in the barn and me to be in the house is a total flip for us, lol. Feels weird!

Spring break next week. It used to be a big deal for me - but now it's just another week, lol. Previous years I had always timed breedings so that the does would kid during spring break. I don't even have a single doe that will kid on spring break this year. Probably a good thing with everything else going on.

Got started on all the home project Monday. When I say one problem leads to another problem over and over and over again....lather, rinse, repeat. Was thrilled to find out that part of a wall of my house wasn't holding up the upper floor - it was literally hanging from the upper floor. Not only did we have termite damage we had water damage and mold. :( Isn't it amazing what sheetrock and siding can
hide? We knew there was going to be damage but had no idea of the extent of the problem.

There was previously a wall and a window there. 😬
