just remember to wash your hands after handling mail/seed packets from outside/new orders arriving.
We've gone to delivery on as much as we can. I have started cleaning packages and hands after handling EVERYTHING! I've also got DH doing that for groceries he brings to his mother. It would be crazy bad luck to be isolating and then catch something off of a package....:(

While ALL of these things are needed and are so true, it is sad to have to live this way. With no end in sight, it is depressing.

I worked again and VERY few customers. Of course, the store employees are there and who knows exposure -- even with all precautions. I just keep scrubbing with sanitizer.....etc., etc., etc.

Rainy all afternoon but, caught a break for a couple hrs, so goats were glad to come out of the barn and get hsy Brat was waiting to be milked! I swear, you'd think they were NEVER fed to see them react to my walking toward them! They have grass all day, hay AM & PM plus grains once a day. Bottomless pits! LOL

Rain & dreary so chickens had gone to bed early....shut coops and came in! Was an early night and an early morning!!!! I'm gonna hit the sack soon. Moved jugs of soda and waters all day long. No need for a gym.

It certainly has the ability to get you thinking...a lot. DH and I talked this morning how this has the power to literally change the world. How long do we have to live this way...forever? Maybe? Or at least until a reasonably effective vaccine comes along. Those of us with a few years under our belts will need to be extra vigilant. Yep - life has changed.

BUT - it is what it is. Can't let it be a constant bummer. Humans have been learning and adapting forever. This is another way we will simply adapt - those who don't? :(

Jealous that you already have babies and MILK! Hopefully we are right around the corner from kidding. We'll hit 150 days since the buck was put in the pasture tomorrow. I have breeding dates on a few of the does but the majority of them are guessing games. I've got a big ol' Nubian that I actually have a breeding date on - and she will hit 150 days on 4-8. She's got a big ol' capacious udder and I'm planning on her being a main milker this year. The terrible thing - I can't remember if this particular doe is milk-stand trained, lol. :old I've been rotating milkers for awhile and I know I didn't milk her last year - but I think maybe the year before.... Hope she is trained cuz she's a big ol' doe and I don't want to get kicked in the face the first time I put her on the stand. Think I'll start feeding her on the stand now and see how it goes.

Planted potatoes today. That's almost it for the garden except for the corn seed I'm waiting for. I do have 5 little short rows that I need to decide what to do with. DH has, of course, requested more peppers. I'm thinking some extra eggplant since I only have two plants.

Gotta go outside and move a broody hen that the ducks keep molesting....I need to eat those ducks!

It was!

It has rained all day today - but very lightly. Less than half an inch so far. Hopefully it'll stop soon - radar is looking like it might be almost done. Garden could use it - so I'm not complaining - yet.

Literally did not much of anything today because of the rain. Except - I did get some mowing done right at the last minute.

Couple of the does are getting close(r) - maybe we'll be having more kids again in a day or so.

I don't do well staying inside all day. I needed something to do so I made some rice krispy treats and took most of 'em and another dozen eggs to the neighbors. Did a handoff from a distance and ran back home, lol.
