Just got home from fishing. We were there for a couple hours and it was really nice. Perfect weather and a nice breeze. There was another guy already there - a real charcter, lol. He liked to talk, DH likes to talk and I like to fish! Worked out perfectly, lol.

Caught 3 catfish, 2 black drum, 1 trout and 1 croaker. They are all safely back in the water after enjoying their shrimp breakfast, lol. It was a good trip.

Funny thing - Game Warden was pulling in as we were pulling out. It's ok - we were legal anyway, but 1st time I've seen a GW out there.

I've seen it, lol!

I've thought about that though. So, I'm only taking one pole tomorrow even though a licensed fisherperson is allowed to use two. That'll take away any possibility that someone could think he's fishing - cuz I'm not giving up MY pole, lol. With his back problems he can barely stand up straight (actually he can't) much less cast a line... :( We're taking a nice comfy rocking chair so he can soak up some rays and smell the salty water. It'll do him good to spend some time outside and soak up some sun.

i hope he has a great time and enjoys the change of scenery. :)

He's ready to go back, lol! He loves the ocean and while we weren't actually at the ocean it was good.

Not a bad way to greet the day!

Picked up feed this morning. Wanted to get it unloaded before it gets wet out there. Twelve bags unloaded and stored.

Hopped on the mower to get that done too. If we actually get some sky water the grass will be happy. I won't be happy if it grows too much. Hopefully it'll start slowing down soon. I mean it IS fall even though we were well over 80 today.

Decided to go ahead and toss out more grass seed. I put some out a couple weeks ago, but the supposed rain didn't really happen back then. Some of those seeds turned into expensive dang bird seed. Argh. Got about 3 miles worth of steps and used up a couple hours walking the pasture.

Trying to stay busy today because it's just one of those days. Today would've been DD and her DH's anniversary. Talked to her sweet husband this morning and we had a good cry together.

Did you get a good rain? Is there water in your pond?

i'm in a strange moment here, so bear with me, but as i read these questions i was struck by how emotionally opposite they are from "Are you mad? Have you lost your marbles?" the positive and concern is all over that. ok, it's passed now... :)

i hope everyone has a great day with rains where needed, water incoming and animals doing bumps and falling off or whatever you may euphemisms it into...
