Too bad you can't put a shock collar on him and wait for him to jump the fence. ZAP!!! But I have tried watching mine to catch them being "bad" and durned if they didn't turn and look straight at me! How did they know????

I DID use a shock collar on him way back last fall when he started jumping... worked the few times that I did catch him in the act....but it only worked in the 'exact spot' where he had been climbing! :barnie

Whew... I've been out trying to get the rest of the garden mulched before it totally gets away from me. Saw some bugs - squashed some bugs... GRRRR!

But, the sweat was running down and dripping into my glasses while I was bent over, it was running down my face and dripping off my chin when I stood up, my shirt is drenched and I don't smell so good. Came inside and checked the weather station...no wonder I'm so hot. It's 95 degrees with 70 % humidity for a heat index of a WHOPPING 123 degrees! That's insane!

Gonna hydrate and get back out there, lol. DON'T SAY IT!!!

I won't say it-I do the same thing. I guess you'll have to do a hot wire for Mr. Smarty.

As you well know - in this part of the country - if you want to accomplish anything out of doors - you just gotta put your big girl panties on and do it! But, ya gotta do it right. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! I usually don't spend more than an hour working until I decide to get out of the sun for a few minutes and guzzle down as much as I can drink.

The one thing I don't do is take water outside with me as long as I'm working close to the house. If I did that I'd probably never stop. Needing to come inside to get a drink keeps me from overdoing it. I have a tendency to want to finish a chore before I stop for a break...this way I HAVE to take a break!

And, so far - Mr. Smarty Pants is staying in! But, I'm not relaxing yet. He usually lets me think it's gonna work for a few days before he busts my bubble.

Gotta give credit where credit is due! My DH has been awesome for the last couple days! He's just about a week and a half post surgery. Thursday I had to come home from work early because that was when Cowboy got into the neighbors yard... I wasn't happy about it. I worked on fence that day...worked on the garden, worked on goats and basically worked myself to complete and total exhaustion. And, I'm sorry to say I wasn't as nice as I could have been to him. He asked me if I was 'mad' at him and I said no... I'm just exhausted. For the last two days he's stepped up and has been helping even more. Yesterday he trimmed all the trees in the front yard. We have a weeping Ash and I love it, it's beautiful when the branches drape to the ground. BUT - it's almost impossible to mow around/under it. I had tried mowing through the drooping branches and literally almost had my eye dug out of my head by a branch. So, he spent hours and hours trimming that tree, the crepe myrtle and the lower branches of another tree. Poor darlin', with his depth perception being so skewed after surgery he literally cut air about as often as he cut a branch! Today he cleaned up all the branches and tossed them to the goats. He worked outside in the heat just about as much as I did. He was awesome! And, icing on the cake - while I was outside milking this evening he cooked hamburgers. I think he knew I was just about at the limit of my stamina/strength and he did exactly what needed to be done! What a guy!

What a guy indeed! Kudos to him for trying and helping so much, with his eyesight still so bad. When do you guys think it will be back to normal again?
