Gotta agree - it was an inconvenience - but not the awfulness that it could have been. It was definitely better than being on the road! Few years back when DH was working in El Paso I had driven out to spend Christmas with him there...just me and the dog on the road. Twelve hours of nothing but an occasional gas station a good distance apart from each other. Made it out and back just fine. Next day, back in my hometown, the battery died in the Kroger parking lot in town. What's right next door to our Kroger store? An auto part store that installs batteries for you! Talk about being grateful for timing on THAT one!
