Good thing you stayed home today! You saved the life of two kids and more than likely, the doe too. Pat yourself on the back and get another glass of wine.

That is amazing, the surviving kids! Thank goodness you were home and out there at the same and could save the two little ones and probably the doe as well!

I hope you are feeling better today :hugs

Heading to the local 'doc in the box' this morning. It's a miracle I survived the night! (No exaggeration there at all, lol.)

Definitely not going anywhere near dad until I'm either over this or have antibiotics on board.

I was glad to be able to help the doe - but she didn't deliver until 6ish yesterday evening so I'da
been home by then even if I'd gone to work - but still happy to get two live babies! Probably should start the doe on some antibiotics "just in case."

:hugs Hope they can do something to make you feel better FAST!! It's hard to feel so crappy when you know you have things to do -- almost "guilty" (Like you could change it??).

Let us know what happens...….:love

Got in early to see the doc, who in reality is a P.A. White spots on my throat - but strep test was negative. Not too confidence inspiring when the doc is looking at my eardrums and saying "weird" - eardrums are white when they're supposed to be gray - ugh. Fluid behind both.

Final diagnosis: dual ear infections, sinus infection, upper respiratory infection. Got a steroid shot, oral steroids, antibiotics, an inhaler, and cough suppressant. Was instructed to rest. Sounds good - might take his advice for a little bit.

Lots of this going around and its being attributed to the African dust cloud that made it's way here. Seems that we can kinda 'adjust' somewhat to our own allergens, but give us new ones from a different continent and they wreak havoc with our bodies. YaY?

Took the first antibiotic so gonna trust that it's gonna do its job. Next on the agenda - nap!

Sometimes you do just have to give your body some help getting over that much gunk. Antibiotics, steriods and some rest, hopefully you'll be feeling brand new in no time!

What? Do you have a blue light on your head saying "get me!"?
Well, you sure were "got"

Take the meds, rest some (did you explain farm life to Dr?) and let's hope it gets much, much better, real soon :hugs

DH gets home when? You could use some help!

I did get in a 2 hour nap!

I didn't get outside to the critters until around 3pm because of the doc visit and waiting around for my meds and then a nap when I got home. Went straight to check on the new kiddos and mama and discovered that she hadn't passed her placenta... GRRRRR!! It had been 21 hours at that point so I was not pleased at all. I had some oxytocin so I gave her an injection. She wasn't really fond of having more contractions but within about 90 minutes she'd passed it. So glad she did cuz it was nasty lookingl. I started her on antibiotics too even though she's acting ok. I mean, she had a dead baby in there that had obviously been dead for awhile and then retained the placenta - so antibiotics it is!

I got a few more bales out of the trailer and into the barn but just couldn't finish it by myself. So, DH stepped up when he got home and we knocked it out.

No big plans for tomorrow other than to watch it rain if the forecasters are correct. Supposed to be heavy rain and lots of it. We will see. They said it should be outta here by evening so if they're right we might get the last chicken butchered and a mess of quail too.

May or may not go see dad tomorrow. I feel horrible because I haven't been there since Saturday - but just wasn't a good idea to go while I was so puny. Hopefully by tomorrow, with antibiotics on board, I won't be contagious. Weather will be a determining factor in whether we venture out on the streets. Heck, the weather folks haven't exactly been on point lately so it might not even be bad here.

@Mini Horses - you posted while I was typing! Yes, I must have had a target on my head, lol. And, yes, DH did help me! He does come in handy sometimes. :love
