That'll be my MIL at 70. Alcohol does amazingly horrible things to you. Such a waste.

Happy kidding season soon!

We were at my son's yesterday and there was some family from dil's side there...One of those folks had to keep going outside and "check" on things. Every time he came back inside his speech was a little more slurred and he smelled stronger and stronger.

Don't get me wrong - DH and I love our wine - but it's all about moderation. If you can't get through a family gathering of a couple hours without needing to go outside and "check" on things - then you have a problem. Generally our family gatherings are based on iced tea and diet root beer.

And, on the news tonight there was a story saying that those who drink alcohol and caffeine MODERATELY and are slightly overweight have a better chance of living into their 90's. I guess I'll live a long time!

Think I'm gonna have a soak in the hot tub tonight!

I saw the same report :clap as I was having my morning coffee!

So, since I only had one glass....have one "for me" in that lovely sounding hot tub. I could sure enjoy one about now. I'm chilled.

Today was DS 52nd. It was not a pleasant day, he's turned into a grumpy old man! :( Needs a major attitude adjustment. Of course, his mom told him so :hide

Being old is no excuse for grump. I know a certain person who often uses the age card as an excuse:

"I don't do this or that any more, because I'm old." "I deserve to be lazy." "Or, I'm old, so I can say what ever I want now."

Rain, rain, rain overnight and this morning. Yay - we sure needed it...NOT!

Lucy's udder is still growing. Bigger today than yesterday - but not quite there yet. Ligs are lower/softer than yesterday - but not quite soft enough. Of course now that it's totally muddy and mushy and nasty and sloppy all over again it's a perfect time for kids, right?

I went back and checked the calendar and she's only at 144 days today. My pygmies used to almost always kid at 145 days - whereas my bigger gals usually go at least 150 days.... she's Kinder so maybe somewhere in between?
:hu It'll happen when it happens I guess.
