May or may not have done a "thing" today. Guess I should get the incubator set up. Could possibly have quail eggs and silkie eggs that need a warm place to hang out for a while.

I slept last night! It was awesome - I highly recommend it. If it weren't for some stupid alert about some bad guy running the streets I would have slept all night. For once it wasn't his blood sugar issues waking us up.
One of my yearling does has had a swollen, runny, red eye for several days. Not pinkeye - but an injury. I didn't have any meds so rinsed that eye with warm honey water until my meds got here. It actually seemed to help soothe it and get it going in the right directions. Waiting on meds wasn't fun, but after a couple days of Vetericyn and Terramycin she's finally not holding it closed and the red and cloudiness is clearing up. I'll keep her up in the barn for a couple more days because it keeps her out of the sun.
Time to list a few goats. Trying to keep a manageable number. I brought 4 new goats in so I need to try to move 4 goats out. I have a yearling buck that I might neuter if he doesn't sell and put him in the freezer in a few months. Gotta get the rut out of him first, lol. He's cute so maybe he'll sell quickly (especially if the price is right)
Think I'll put in a little more time in the garden area. I'm going to clean out some of the grow tubs, add some fresh barn gold and stick something in the dirt.

Need to get pics and get some goats listed. If I ever stop procrastinating, I'll probably list 6.
Caught a couple fish last night...one mud cat that did NOT go back in the pond and a bass which did get tossed back. Caught another bigger catfish this morning and he's in the freezer now. I need more practice processing catfish. It's a slow sloppy process now.
Put another couple does with the big Boer guy today. He's been busy and he loves his job, lol.
Got some tractor time today. Been moving dirt from the excavated pond dirt into some low areas. When I had the pigs they managed to dig out some areas in their pens. I need to get those filled back up so I can use them for goat pens - as they were originally intended to be.

Me too. It brings me peace and joy. It's a place of reflection and meditation. Many, many tears have been shed out there at water's edge. But that's ok - it's the right place to shed them.
Water is down from lack of rain. It has given me the opportunity to mow much closer around the edge than I usually can. I'd hate to dump that new zero-turn in the pond so I'm pretty tentative about getting too close. I'll get the weed whacker out there in a few days when it's a little bit cooler.
Had a blood draw for DH yesterday. Surgery still scheduled for Friday. Supposed to be one night in the hospital and home Saturday. Dreading the hospital stay, but ready to get this over with.
