What's Goffee? I thought you mis-typed coffee at first.
I'm pretty partial to any kind of milk drink. Yum.
HA HA HA....I was making up a new name for this concotion my friend and I came up with. She brought over that bottle of Patron quite some time ago and we never opened it. It actually sat in her house for YEARS and then sat in mine for a year. We were looking at the shelf the other night wondering what we could make and she started talking about making white russians with that bottle and I thought 'why not use goat milk?!?'

Hence, Goat + Coffee = GOFFEE

They were nice, smooth and delicious. Next time we're thinking of making mudslides with the goat milk.

Ahhhhh...

Friday.

I'm leaving work early today. Big G cut and teddered the fields at my grandmother's place Tuesday - Thursday so tonight we're going to start baling. There's at least 500 bales there. Ugh...but we've got our crew to help again and my uncle, who's more than ready to "Get Back Into Farming" is rearing to go. He's already got the weekend planned ending with a party Saturday night.

We're going to camp there tonight and possibly tomorrow night...it's only 15 minutes or so from our house so we can run home to tend to the animals and stuff. My grandmother will be staying at my mother's house tonight (she's not able to spend the night alone so my family takes turns watching her) so we've got her house and bedrooms to go into if the weather doesn't cooperate, which I think it will. The kiddo really loves sleeping in the tents and we take the dogs too, so all 5 of us usually snuggle in our tent. We've invited our friends and kids who are helping us with the hay so I'm sure it'll be a great time.

.....................................

Update on Apirl - the more I look at her the more I just don't think she's going to get any better. She's still got those lumps and missing hair despite the Draxxin, but is still really alert, eating, drinking, pooping fine. I noticed last night that there was a really big vein or something that started with a big lump about 3" - 4" from the front of her udder and ran along her belly on the underside. At first I thought the bulge I was seeing was another lump, but when I felt around, which she DID NOT LIKE ONE BIT, I noticed that the "lump" I saw was actually the start of this 'vein' and the 'vein' was really really big. Like a baby gardener snake big. And it was filled with liquid. I felt up the other goats and noticed that some of them have it, but it's no where near that big.

I have a call into the vet asking her to call me back so I can pick her brain about this new issue.

One friggen thing after another.

Happy 4th of July! Have fun and be safe!

Oh, poor April! I hope you get some answers!!!
Have fun camping out! I may just pitch my little tent in the backyard while everyone's gone next week and sleep out with the critters.
