Got the new computer up and running!

It's pretty nice and fast! BUT - everything on the internet is in italics and I can't figure out for the life of me how to change it!!!!

My head has been leaning to the right for the past hour trying to read everything...

No change with Opi - her udder is finally getting big...maybe this weekend she'll kid when it's rain/snow/sleet mixing outside.
But of course! Wouldn't that be just like a goat??
Yay on the new computer. Hope to be doing the same in a few weeks! Not sure what to tell you about the italics. I'm still wondering why charter's new email system sometimes won't let me backspace when typing an email. :idunno

Check your tools drop down menu and the font changer should be under the options tab.

I messed around with the font changer for about 20 minutes and still got nothing. Some of the words on the screen (like the address bar, file, edit, view, favs etc) are normal, but all the threads and responses are in italics. It's just with the internet, not with everything else.

It's windows7 if that matters - I have no idea about this stuff but like to pretend I do!

Big G's mom called last night and said "How's my son?" I said "He needs his mommy 'cause I'm not dealing with this $&@(% all night!"

Both Big and little g had a fever around 100 - 102 all night long. Big G's really hamming it up, screaming like a banshee every time he wakes up to move. I felt sorry for him at first, but after an hour of being home with those two I lost all sense of maternal instinct and hid in the basement with a glass of red wine.

All night long I heard whining echoing throughout the house - sometimes it would come from the other side of my bed and sometimes it would come from the other side of the hall. This morning I got up, distributed medications, propped the sick up on pillows, made them a light breakfast, filled water bottles/sippy cups, turned on TVs to the correct stations, got the sick dressed (Big G decided he was too hot during the night so he got all nekkid on me!) and cheerfully headed out the door. Grammie (Big G's mom) is going over there to baby sit the sick today.

:weee

PS - I love Opi so much right now. I was determined she'd kid in the middle of the night last night so I had the monitor up full blast so I could hear her (that and the animal/night sounds sorta drowned out the banshee calls). But thank heavens something went right for me last night and she's still intact!

The font changer for the internet was what I was describing. It should be in the menu bar at the top of your browser/web page :) Just in case you didn't try that yet. If that's not the answer, then you got me scratching my head too :D

Wow, Opi is really holding on!

I'm laughing at you hiding in the basement with wine to get away from your sick boys  Totally something I would do.

Yea - I went to Tools (in an open IE window), Internet Options, then down at the bottom clicked on fonts. I tried several different type fonts but nothing worked. I even tried messing around with other settings....guess it's time to put that geek squad to the test.

Glenolam send me your e-mail address in a PM and I'll ask my computer whiz son. He can figure anything like that out. Write out your question for me though because I'm such a computer dunce I can't even tell what you are asking.
That is the trouble when a true computer geek lives with you, you never learn anything and come to depend on them. He figures things out lightening fast so it seems a waste of time for me to try. But I can ask him.

Well - I never got on the computer once I got home so I have no idea if Computer Nerd's trick worked. :hide

Opi's back in the kidding section. This time we have more discharge - to my naked eye it looks clear, but when I snapped a picture of her hoo haa (yes, yes I did) it looked amber on camera. That's exactly what happened with Fudgie - her area looked regular to me, but a photo showed it was amber goo.

Nothing much happened overnight except my roosters just love the crowing contests they have....now it occurs at 1am and 3am. Guess they're in the process of elimination rounds now to see who's the champ.

I just love Hash and Rocky. Yes, I've settled on their names. Fudgie's little gal with the white ears is going to be Heavenly Hash and the brown eared gal is Rocky Road. This morning they were practicing their acrobatic tricks jumping off Fudgie and tumbersalting in the air (if that's a word...). They run faster than a jackrabbit on his way to....well, visit SD's place!

Eggs in the incubator are doing well. We're on day 11, so 10 days to go! :woot

Big G and little g are still at home today. little g has a low fever - it goes down to normal, then spikes up to around 100 - 101. Big G's banshee calls have subsided a little, but now he's in his "I miss you" stage where he claims if he could only cop a feel he'd be back to normal. Sorry, bud, if you're feeling well enough to cop a feel you're good enough to go to work and get off the couch...

Then he snapped at me for being mean and not sensitive to his needs...

My goodness, a goat ready to kid and TWO sick males at home....I feel sorry for you! Do you get to go to work today and escape?

I heard in OFG's neck of the woods schoolkids get off school for goat kidding....da ya think it would work at your workplace?

Lemme and Computer Nerd know if that didn't do the trick.
