Cute pics!

Come on Opi!!! Don't wait for Mama to get really sick. That would be just like a goat.....
Hope Little G is better. DS can't take the 'cillin related anitbiotics without getting a rash and puking. He also can't take ibuprofen unless he eats a 4 course meal without getting sick. Which he never feels like doing if he needs a pain med....

Your goats are so cute! :love

The black one....is that Opi? She looks so wide, it makes my stomach hurt. She must be having a whole herd. Did Freemotion have anything to do with this?

Nah - free did not influence me and goats - I sorta did that on my own for whatever reason!

The black salt and pepper one is Opi, my pygmy. I'm kicking myself right now cause I went out there after taking a nap on the couch (4 hours of cleaning out the goat barn, which involved the tractor and then getting hay, loading it on the truck then stacking it in the tarp shed will do that to ya) and watched everyone. BUT I wore another coat which didn't have my camera in it, just my cell phone which was aobut to die. Anyway...

Opi had settled outside by the fence (I've let her out for the day, figuring she'll kid if I make her move around more) and the doelings were romping around. All of a sudden, Rocky the brown doeling jumped on top of poor Opi. Maybe she thought Rocky was massaging her back, I don't know, but she allowed it, poor girl. Then Hash, the wite eared doeling, jumped on Opi too and the two doelings had a feild day pretending poor Opi was a log. Opi took it for a while until Hash decided to start nibbling on Opi's beard and trying to take the cud out of Opi's mouth. It was a site to see! I was able to snap a quick picture of Rocky on Opi's back before the phone died.

I'm sorta hoping all that jostling and roming on her back sorta gives her the hint to get that stuff outa there....

What was even funnier was that the doelings are already about 1/3 the size of Opi since they're both full sized breeds and she's a teeny pygmy.

:frow Hope everything is OK.

Here's our buckling's disbudding. I think he's got some growth around the outside of one circle. The scabs are starting to lift around the circle. I'm not sure about the shiny black bump :/ The breeder did him and I know she did a better job than I could have.

This is the doeling that I think needs reburned :( Bad photo, but there is a white bump in the center where the scab is coming off. I contacted the breeder who is buying her to see what we should do.

And now for a happy photo - kids on a kid :D

Love that last photo. That's what I look like if I have to bend over in the goat pen. Gidget takes it as an invitation to jump on my back. :/

I'd say mine look more like the second photo. That first photo, everything looks both larger and smoother than on my kids. I think part of it is that mine have more hair all around as their hair was snipped, not shaved? I'll try to get some photos. We had this big weather event today with deep snow and now heavy rain so I didn't get to do my outdoor stuff.

You can really see the figure 8 she did on the buckling.

Your doeling looks a lot like my doelings do. I, too, feel these little black nubs and can't really tell if they're horns growing into the skull or just there and will eventually fall off.

Mine don't have scabs that are falling off, yet. I did them about 12 days ago but I'm not sure how long it takes for the scabs to fall off.

I posted more pictures over on BYH - here's the thread.

little g had no kindergarten this morning. Weather related 90 minute delay :/ If you ask me, that was a rediculous call. Yes, the roads weren't that great but they were definitely driveable if you just took caution.

I gave him the option of staying home with dad or going to daycare - he choose day care, which I'm not surprised. After 5 days at home with dad or me and dad he really misses his friends.

Big G has a doctor's appointment today at 4 - they'll tell him whether or not he can go back to work. I left him a To Do list to gently remind him of the things he could be doing that don't require any lifting, like paying car/boat registrations, calling the cable company and getting the truck's emissions testing done. All things I asked him to do a while ago, but he has yet to do.

I think my head's gonna explode. Or at least just my sinuses...

Oh my gosh Opi is HUGE! She really is as big as a barrel :p

I hope you feel better....we have had so much wind lately that my allergies have kicked into high gear and I just want to scrape my face off! My neighbor said yesterday that she thought she saw smoke outside and when she went to check it was clouds of pollen blowing off the trees.

Hopefully Opi won't kid while you are gone....but you know now that I said that she will...

DH had a delay but DS and I didn't. The roads were better earlier than they were later. I had a really hard time on the back roads. The sidewalks were horrible!! Several teachers spun out on their way in to Windham and I had to help a Special Ed student off her van and into the building because she was too scared to walk by herself. I'm not sure what was a good call on a day like today! I know that our administration was influenced by the fact that the big statewide standardized tests start next week and we can't miss a minute of teaching the test time...
