Wheeeeeee Whooooooooo

What a weekend. The bank account doesn't think so (I'm scared to view the on-line statement) but it was a doozie for sure!

Beautiful weather, everything and everyone cooperated the best they could and the party went off with only minor glitches - nothing serious though.

The party even included a milking show. You all know - just because you take a day or two off doesn't mean the goats will milk themselves and since I usually milk around 5 pm that meant I had to milk smack dab in the middle of the festivities. My uncle decided that he wanted to take a stab at milking a goat - which I tried multiple times to explain it was NOT the same as milking a cow - and the episode ended in him directing the teat at the crowd gathered at the barn door. The man made a kid cry! It was pretty funny to say the least. Fudgie and Opi took it like pros and didn't even flinch when people wanted to take a turn.

The best part, though, was Sunday. We had a few friends spend the night (including their kids) so when everyone woke up Sunday morning we had quite a few hands to help clean up. The kids jumped in the moon bounce for a few hours and we emptied the keg while taking down the tents.

I took yesterday off because I knew I'd need one more day and I was so glad I did. I actually cleaned yesterday...the house was a disaster and I didn't bother cleaning it before the party......why when everyone was going to just walk in and dirty it up anyway? We picked stuff up so the house wasn't full of dust bunnies, but that's it.

So - I've now joined the 30 and over club and feel wonderful!

I'm glad you had a good time. I can imagine how the milking went at the party, I had company yesterday at milking time and I was surprised how everyone was totally fascinated. Poor Molly let everyone who wanted have a turn too, poor dear. She probably is pretty sore today!

So now you are officially old like the rest of us and you don't have to worry about your age anymore. hah!
