Do you intend to harvest and eat, or use them for seed potatoes in your garden???

In my windowsill pot, I cut off 2 growing tips, and stuck them in the soil. They have rooted, and are now putting on new growth.
Seed potatoes since I suspected that seed potatoes would not be available again this year.

I love colored veggies... But... have not bothered with the multi colored carrots. did you know that in the days of old, carrots were not orange? I just love my Magic Molly's and my All Red or Adirondack Red potatoes. There is now a purple sugar snap pea. I've not yet tried that, and most likely won't bother b/c the seed $$$ is very high. Growing a yellow pole bean (Monte Gusto) this year to go with my Fortex. Have any readers bought seed from Vermont Wild Flower Farm, Urban Farmer or Eden Brothers? There is a multi color patty pan mix that I would like to try this year.

And tell me, please???? What was your impression of the sweetness, texture and carrottiness of the different colored ones???? Is carrottiness really a word?
Atomic Red are the best pull and eat right now carrot. Mild with no bitterness at all in the skin.

Whites are bland and not particularly good for eating raw but are a wonderful additional to bean or potato soups.

Purple Dragon are unbelievably sweet with their purple flesh and orange core.

Deep Purple can be solid purple the whole way through. Not sweet and not particularly carroty but good boiled or fried. Will turn anything you cook them in purple.

Most of the yellows are a nice mild carrot flavor.
