HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

How is the day planned for you?

We had Tony's parents over last night for Thanksgiving.....
we ate a monster pork roast from our hog...delish
mac n cheese
green beans
dinner rolls
perogies stuffed with potatoe and cheese

Hmmm...sounds weird right...LOL-LOL----but seeing we are having turkey and all the usuals at my parents house, I just had to make different food for his parents..LOL

We all ate very good!

Today I do nothing but work. Grandma is getting Nicole to go to Pats for turkey....Tony is hunting all day, I am making soaps all day and working at the barn......

tomorrow is my Thanksgiving with my parents because my brother Rich can't get here til like 6 tonight from New Jersey. Long drive down and too late to be eating so much food after a 10 hr drive.......

SO WHAT IS EVERYONE DOING TODAY???

You are a blessing on this board.

I am going to clean my house for the first time since I can remember.

I may cook something for myself later.

I am going to spend some time with my goats and my dogs.

I am going to stalk this forum.

What a great day!!!!

I wont' clean too much - it's just that I never have days off- my bedroom has not been cleaned since the summer- no lie- I can't even sleep in there anymore because of all the clothes on the bed- and the fridge is scary..I would like to remove some science projects...the yard is a disaster..and I haven't even closed my pool yet.

I forgot that my daughter still has her American Eagle job. She works there just for the discount and she only gets about an hour or two a month- BUT, she is required to work Black Friday. So she is in Jersey today visiting her Dad, and will be at AE all day tomorrow. So I am here, with no car, for two days.

Such luxury!! So much can get done.

I lived in Jersey growing up. Lived in Freehold. Where did your daughter go in NJ?

No car? :ep

no biggie, take the opportunity to relax some. that is a good thing.

clean the bed first....honestly getting good sleep is the most important thing to everyone. I don't sleep great anymore...wish I did. That bed is the most important thing to me..HAHA

Glad you said pool....I have to unhook my main hose from the pool and empty that filter. I closed up the pool but didn't finish and heck, I forgot about it.....yup, going out today to finish that small job. I can't have a frozen filter, the cost is way to high to replace that stupid filter...gotta baby it....thanks for mentioning that one..lol

Her dad is in Haskell, I think. That area. I lived in Passaic Country when she was born at Wayne General. Her dad is originally from Clifton and that is where I think she is today, with her grandparents. I lived in Haledon and North Haledon NJ for 18 years before I moved back to CT. Then I ended up in Central PA. CT is expensive to live!!!

Yeah, pool filters are too expensive to simply let them freeze. I need to get to that this weekend.

I am finishing up the Wifes "Project Durango" rebody. Just a few minor details that needed taken care of. Then we will head over to my sisters house for our yearly Thanksgiving family get together.
After that? I may go to the deer blind and see if I can kill something with my bow BEFORE gun season opens up next week.

Happy Thanksgiving to EVERYONE!! May every one of you have plenty to eat, and good family to share it with.

FC- I lived in Naugatuck and worked in Waterbury - not far from Hartford. I have a good friend who worked in the tax department at CIGNA a few years ago. Hated it and went to a smaller company. But she still lives and works in the Hartford area.

Now I live in York County PA.

When should I plan for my move to NC?

happy turkey day!!! gobble gobble!!!!

we actually had our big 'sleep in" today - all the way until 7:30. sheesh! the ducks were pounding on the door and the hens were having a total melt down. but we hurried thru chores and are about to watch the parade.

at mid day we are headed over to the old farm for turkey with the MIL. i figure i wont get food poisoning b/c she is buying everything
:-(

but

we'll head over to our fun neighbors for dessert after evening chores - they are a great family and always include us.

and

we've been eating our $5 turkeys for the last week and i'm having pumpkin walnut pie for breakfast so whoot! it IS a happy turkey day!

:)
