You can pm or reply to anyone who lists seeds you want, and also list what you are looking for. I will be listing both what I have and what I need, soon.

I was reading about it in The Encyclopedia of Country Living last night and decided it was the one for me! You can do anything with it, cornmeal, hominy, grits....but it will not be yellow or white. Some varieties can be used young as roasting ears, too.

Want some? I don't have much, but am not really planning to plant too much corn. I have cumin and mustard seed that I'd be willing to share as well. I bought them at a little Menonite place the other day, so am almost positive they are from saved seed. I know the corn is. I always get extra seed from my family, as everybody here saves seed for the following year, and I usually wind up with too much

I have 3rd generation in Atlanta summers Peter Pepper. I've kept it far, far away from anything else - in the front flower bed - since I've read hot is dominate genetics. I don't know how germination is, I'll just send out the whole, dried pepper. This is my first trade.

I would really like an op large tomato, or squash I can't kill here. Or cuke.

I'd really like to participate. I don't as yet have anything to trade, unless I later order something. Right now I can't afford much (hoping to get my back pay) but things might look up soon and I might could afford more.

I'm in central Texas -- usually a pretty long season and HOT summers, usually humid.

I'm looking for:
tomatoes - especially types that can handle heavy sporadic rains (I do water well tho, just can't contol over-watering from the sky), sweet types, cherry or grape tomatoes, and ones for sauce as well as "regular" types ... I just plain love tomatoes!

Peppers - hot jalapeos or maybe serano, habanero

pumpkins -- just a few pie-type

corn -- prefer sweet ones for eating but plan to grow extra for the animals and experiment with grinding cornmeal

watermelon -- just need a few

canteloupe -- a few

herbs I really need -- I would love basil, parsley especially. Also thyme, Rosemary, oregano, lavender, mints, and catnip.

Nobody would be offering potatoes, I'm thinking? If that IS possible, I would be interested.

Sunflower seeds? Are there heritage types? It's for the animals so not sure I should be asking. Maybe boss and any sunflower would do.

I think those are my top "wish" items along with berries, which don't usually come as seed?

Thanks, and I hope that's a good enough format. :)

Dreaming of this year's garden already. I pulled some hay from the last round bale over to the garden before I unloaded today's round bale. :)

Did everyone get everything they needed? Anyone else who was maybe too shy to chime in on round one?

I'd love a few tomato seeds - non-sweet heirloom tomatoes would be great. "Modern" tomatoes are way too sweet.

I'm in zone 15 (sillycon valley microclimates are weird)

Anyone with a good italian pepper or eggplants would be great too.

I don't want more than half a dozen seeds of anything.

Thanks for starting this! I don't have any garden yet, just starting out at the new house.
