I have to call her later today anyway. With his cows' milk allergy we'd see his ears turn bright red within half an hour and they did not do that yesterday so I am hopeful. He would also get a bloated feeling and he says he didn't. :)

His ears didn't turn red.
My son's ears used to turn bright red on a fairly regular basis. Nobody could explain what was causing the problem. Sure enough, once we go low carb and he doesn't have wheat anymore...no more red ears :p

Same here! He snuck a Hershey's Kiss one day and I knew immediately!

Thanks Gina! It was a lot of fun right up to that moment... Got lots of great media on the local TV stations. Luckily they were gone before the crash. :/

Because of a disease that affected some crop that also affected currants and another berry....gooseberries, maybe? The law was in many states but was lifted in some because the new varieties aren't a problem.

My town dips down into CT so I don't see why I can't have some.....
Yup, you're practically in CT!
I knew about the problems with currants but didn't realize you still couldn't have them legally up there. My problem is finding them!! Everyone seems to have forgotten about them. I'm reduced to grocery store currant jam. Blech!
I haven't found any bushes locally so I started looking on line and this is what I found for red currants: CANNOT SHIP TO DE, ME, NC, NH, NJ & WV****MA BY PERMIT ONLY

Black currants have an even more extensive list (more like to carry the white pine blister rust).
