Thanks! I just have to get through tomorrow and Fridays are pretty easy days. The toughest part right now is finding parking at the HS. I think I vented last week that we're short on staff parking so they moved us to student parking. That's tight as it is with all the snow and the kids don't put any thought or consideration into parking efficiently. They'll waste space and probably eliminate 5 or 6 spots in each row because of it. I don't get there until 11 on Fridays and it's almost impossible to find anything. I swear I'm going to call the office and say, "I'm here! But my kids will have to come out to me because I can't park!"
I'm actually heading to bed. I'm suddenly completely beat. Not sure what's up. I even had a cup of coffee when I got home.
Made a delicious beef stew from the Paleo Diet cookbook. Maybe it was the yummy food? Don't know, just know I need some zzzzzzzzzzs. So as soon as I get the SA apron stuff laid out to dry (wish I could get to my clothesline!!) I will be brushing, flossing and snoring! 'Night everyone! Happy Friday eve!

I know what you mean about the parking! I had the same problem in college.

And, I also found that if I was around Spanish a lot, I could actually understand it as well as speak it. Immersion truly is the best way to learn. I've been wanting to work on my Spanish more but just haven't had the time. I used to be able to speak quite well in it. I'd even dream in Spanish!

I can still understand German if I don't try and dream in it. Can't speak it, but I'm sure I'll pick it up again FAST when I get to classes ;) I'm hoping sometime LOL

Ugh, parking nightmares continue. I was thrilled to find a decent, legal spot in the closest area of the student lot, only to come out at the end of the day at find I was blocked in by buses unloading for a huge wrestling tournament!! :barnie I needed to get out to get DS at school. No time to wait for wrestling buses!!!! Jeez! Luckily the driver right behind me saw that I needed to get out and took pity on me and moved enough that I could just get out and I made it on time.
DS neglected to bring home the workbook he needed for all his make-up work. I sent it back with him today because I knew he would need it for class, but the teacher collected it after group and didn't give it back and he didn't think to ask. I sent in a note specifically requesting that she send it home too. :he So he'll have to do other work like his book report that isn't due until 2/28. At least he's got the materials for that and can work ahead.

Well, I emailed her and heard back that she collected the reading workbooks and just plain forgot to give it back to him. He could have reminded her but it didn't occur to him. He got in a little trouble at the end of the day for socializing with the other boys. But since that is actually a good thing since they've been slow to accept him we're both chalking it up to all-in-all not such a bad thing. See, he's small and immature and likes to clown around which makes him annoying. He's always struggled to make friends.
When you throw in the fact that today was a special movie/pajama day, it's not surprising that he got overwhelmed at the end of the day. He also realized when he got to school that he forgot to put underwear on under his pjs this morning. :hu :hide
Yup, my kid went to Catholic school in pajamas and no undies!!!
I'm gather sewing supplies and getting ready to cut up apron stuff. For the tank top, I'm think I'll use part of the back to go around my neck so I can just slip it over my head. So I'll cut up the side seams, then cut what I want to keep attached out of the back and hem that. I'll have to trim a little at the front sides so the corner by the arm pit doesn't flap out, making a straight seam down toward the waist. I either need to make bias tape or find some I like for ties. I got another crappy paycheck this week, missing 3.5 days for snow etc. Need to not get carried away!

Wow! Managed to not even turn on the computer yesterday! Just was busy around the house. I've started decluttering around the area I'll need for seed starting. I'm being brutal. I've filled the garbage can outside as well as two 50 lb feed bags. Then I filled to large cardboard boxes with stuff for the "swap shop" at the dump. That is already in the back of the truck for the next dump run. I found a box of cookbooks I had set aside since I'm not using them so much anymore with the food issues. I thought I'd want to hang onto them in case of company, etc. But I haven't gone to find one of them since I put them down there. Time to go. Off to the library book sale! I found my old sewing machine. I thought we got rid of it a long time ago. Off it goes. Found fabric and patterns that never got done. I'll look through those to see if there's anything I still want to make. One is for a period dress for our church's 175th anniversary two years ago. Never bought fabric. I wore contemporary clothes to the party. I still want to make the dress. Summer project?
We've got more snow coming but we're off tomorrow so we won't be adding to our snow days anyway. Being stuck at home will mean no excuses and more decluttering. I have a dentist appt. at noon. May have to postpone it again if the driving's not looking good. Oh darn!
Today the sun is shining and the sky is spectacularly blue! Yesterday I saw a male Eastern bluebird on the telephone wire across the street and today we saw two while driving home from church. They used to be so rare here. They've made a come back but it's still a little unusual to see one so close to us. We're heavily wooded and they usually prefer open spaces. They'll fly from field to field which is when we usually spot them. I also had robins in my crab apple tree yesterday enjoying the fruits. I went out to visit the goats and walked right past. The robins didn't leave. They kept chattering away, enjoying their feast.
The chickens continue to lay everyother day. We got 6 yesterday. None today. One of yesterday's was green! First I've seen in months. That means another has started to lay again. Maybe we'll see more than 6 everyother day soon??
We cleaned the goat half of the barn out to bare floor yesterday. That felt good but I'm sore today! Man, that nasty wet stuff was heavy. Chicken half is next.
Feels like spring is really going to come!

The Eastern Bluebird is the state bird of Missouri. I have lived here my whole life and have probably only seen a dozen bluebirds - ever. :(

I guess they don't like big cities or pollution.
