Going through similiar things with my 14 1/2 yr old Lab, Buford. He has had a bunch of small problems all adding up. This morning I think he fell from the wheelchair ramp (about 3ft) I wasn't out there so I don't know if he fell from it or just fell down walking near it. Headed to the vet at 230 myself.

It's so hard seeing them like this... my thoughts with you and Kobi

Thanks with the assist Gleno!! I can read posts at school but can't log in.
Kobi is a little better still this afternoon. He's walking around and alert. His backend still isn't quite right but the twitching and collapsing has stopped. He can jump up on the couch :/ on his own and get up and down the steps outside but I can see a weakness. DH thinks I'm nuts but he didn't see him at his worst this morning. DS did a demo of what he saw and I think DH is starting to get it. Some denial going on I think.
AL I'm sorry your Buford is having a tough time too. This is the part I hate. Knowing that we're going to have to make that decision some day not too far off. Hate it! Last dog we lost died at home and we didn't have to go through that.

So glad to hear he's better, sure hope this was just a temporary set-back. :fl
Thanks! Seems to be but at this age anything could happen I suppose. We'll keep him happy and safe as long as we can. Oh, here he is right now to let me know DH is home from band practice! :)

The dog is acting like himself again this morning. Which means a slightly slower, crankier version of his old self. He jumped on the bed! I guess at nearly 14 he's entitled to be a little slower and cranky!
