Great pics, hen. Your son really favors his dad.

Does that mean the puppy looks like you?
LOL, I'm not blond! And our son was adopted!
WOW! (closing jaw dropped mouth) I still think he favors his dad. :)
He does! Completely by chance, but he does!

Had fun watching the Hovercraft races my husband hosted yesterday. His school raced another CT highschool on the Connecticut River in Hartford. He's been building crafts with his students for a number of years. He's also helped the other teacher get her program started this year. He's hoping two other schools will be ready to race with them next year. The event was a big success, even made the local news. My 7 year old son got to wave the flags.

What great pics! It seems to me that there are lots of adopted children who favor their adopted parents. I am not sure if that is just by random or what, but it does seem to happen! :)

Thanks. It's funny because it never entered into our minds at the time!

Great pics - looks like your son had a great time waving that flag too.

Thanks, he did have a lot of fun. He came home and made a set of mini flags and used them with his toy hovercrafts to have his own races. He'll be able to race the real deal when's 12. He was busily doing the math on Saturday!

Kids are so funny. Always rushing to get to that ideal age which seems to take forever.

As opposed to us old folks who are wondering where the last year went and praying for one more. LOL

No kidding! I just reconnected with the little girl I used to babysit for on Facebook. She will turn 35 on Saturday. She's pregnant with her 3rd child. Sigh...........

Wow, had to dig down to page 2 of "my posts" to find my own journal. Kind of sad. The last month or so of work was insane. To sit down at the computer when I got home was just too much.
I feel like I'm getting no where fast here at home. The place is a disorganized mess, never mind no where near self sufficient. Two afternoons in a row I've found my self with tears running down my face for no discernable reason. I've got no reason to feel this way. I'm off from school for two months. I've got time to get it back in shape. I'm just feeling more than a little overwhelmed I think.
Once our son is in bed, I think DH and I need to do some list making. I wish I was more skilled than I am, but the truth is I do need him to do some of the things that need doing so that I can get back on track. The weather here in CT has been cool and wet for what seems like forever. That hasn't helped. I still don't my garden in because we still don't have a fence around it to keep the dogs out. UGh!

:hugs It seems there are a number here feeling the same way H23!

For getting organized I use Pam Young's and Peggy Jones' system that they call Sidetraced Home Executives. Each task you want done is color coded based on the frequency you want the job done.

This site gives a good overview of the set up and how it works.

I don't buy anythng from this site. In fact, when I first using the program, I got the book from the bookstore and the dividers and white 3 x 5 cards at the five and dime. Then I used crayons we already had at home to mark the cards for the color coding. I used an old shoebox to hold the cards, which I covered in some contac paper. I started using it in 1980, and I am still using this system. You could probably find the book at your local library or used book seller.

ETA: I love the pics of your son at the boat races!
