You're welcome. It amazes me how content I can be just staring at my chicken coop in the snow. :)

Chickens in general seem to make me content. I just can't wait for those warm Spring mornings watching them out hunting for bugs in the green grass. Relaxing and therapeutic. :)

I'm hoping we have the puppy trained to ignore them by then. He has been bad about chasing them.

Stunning! I love it!

I know that we all seem to dislike winter and January feels so long and dreary, but for some reason pix of everyone's snow brightens my day....why is that?

For me there seems to be this cleaness about it. Everything tucked under all that fresh white snow. And having my warm house with the woodstove going and brownies in the oven, it's a cozy content feeling.
I really don't mind January or winter, until mid March or so when I'm longing to plant my garden and I have to wait two more months!

Yup, for anything tender. It does make me impatient! Especially when others are posting what they're up to out in their gardens. ;)

Trying not to count down the days 'til February break. I'll be fine once I get there and get back to work with the students. It's been a (mostly) fantastic week off for all three of us.
Egg laying has suddenly picked up here. We were getting as few as one egg a day out of 18 hens. Then it was 3/day for a few weeks. Last week we got 4 or 5 and today it was 8. Yay!
More snow last night and this morning. More possibly this Friday. The puppy has a blast running through it around the side of the house and over to the fence. He'll grab a toy, toss it in the air, lose it in the snow, dig it out, run around with it and repeat the whole thing. It's hysterical to watch.

June here...we only have a three month to thee and a half month gardening season. It really sucks! I am so looking forward to gardening...and you guys are really tempting me to hide a couple of chickens in a shed someplace :barnie

Morel, maybe in one of those ice fishing shacks?

90 minute delay this morning. That will help us ease back into the school routine. And completely mess up my schedule with my students. That's okay, no complaints except that they decided to delay so late I was already fully awake. I'd have loved to sneak in another half hour of sleep.
