Aw, thanks everyone! He does his share of chicken chasing too. I feel like I'm constantly yelling out the kitchen window, "put the chicken DOWN!' And remember no one around us has chickens so all my neighbors think I'm really tweaked!

H23, How have you been?? Winter is setting in here...Did you get your christmas cards done with that photo? It was too cute!

Hope all is well, and you update your journal some time! :D What a crazy, busy time, isnt it!

Hey, H23! Are you stuck in the ice storm that shut down the NE?
Not at all. Nothin' but rain here. In CT it mostly hit the northwest hills as it usually does.

Bad weather headed our way tonight. Looks like a couple of inches of snow turning to the dreaded "wintry mix" in time for the morning commute. My department is supposed to meet at 8:00 to finalize assignments and suprevision issues. If there is a late opening for the schools, the meeting will probably be postponed until after winter vacation. As much as I'd love to have an extra 90 minutes tomorrow morning, I'd rather have these issues resolved once and for all. :/

We've had that mess for two days now. It looks like it should end tomorrow. I hate that freezing rain and drizzle but then I live in the ice belt.

I guess we are supposed to get something tonight but I am not sure how much or if it is just snow or ice mixed. DH leaves for work at 5AM so the roads are rarely done by the time he has to leave.

SNOW DAY!!! Woohoo! Best part is, it's not snowing yet and DH's paycheck was direct deposited yesterday! Off to the food co-op and grocery store so I can spend some time making gifts in a jar and breads and cookies when we can't get out. We're expecting 8-12 inches. This will be our first real snow of the year. I will have to get pictures of the chickens' and ducks' reaction to it. Only one chicken has ever seen significant snow before.

8 to 12 inches

OH MY GOODNESS

I would be insane. Living in the South is best for me. I know I can not handle your weather in winter...WOW

I do miss saying, A SNOW DAY! Living up North we never got many cause there the people would live right thru it......down here in NC....you even predict a storm in possibly 4 days, they start shutting schools....LOL...and then the storm never happens..HA HA
