We are all looking ragged in these parts, I went to the grocery store and everyone was dressed in their skivvies and walking around like zombies.
 That doesn't surprise me. I, however, refuse to go to the store when it is this hot. Just the thought of getting in the car, is so not appealing. I will stay home and eat whatever I can scrounge together.

I think a wet shirt works better than a wet bandana and wet hair, at least that has been my experience. Though I wet it all down before I go out in the evening.

Remember I have survived heat like yours EVERY summer for the last 46 years ... many without air conditioning.

You guys try making some nice tart lemonade - then freezing it into pops or even just in a cup. Works wonders.

FF where did you live when you had to survive w/o a.c.? I lived in Houston and Austin TX without heat when I was young, but I just can't take it anymore...heat is the main reason why I moved way up here!

Thanks for the tips, we have been surviving on icy smoothies etc. And I swear, if it weren't for that lake down the road, I don't know how we would make it.

Yep, and so far I am winning the contest, because I haven't seen any of my neighbors in their wet t-shirts yet. ;)

We sure have fun here waiting for HennyP to come home!

Oh, Henny, I was listening to NPR yesterday and they had a breast feeding discussion on and a caller called in from Bellingham and she sounded to "hemptastic"!

My boss and I were talking about how we Washingtonians can't seem to handle anything! We had record snows this winter, flooding, drought, and now heat! What's next! I hope this means a mild winter.

It's not even 90 and I'm still roasting. I seriously fail.
