this is our new Wildcat. picked up today. dealer was wonderful in showing everything, doing every little bit of 'things we wanted corrected' (not much), installed a Pull Rite Slider into the truck and after a long day away we went with the new 5er.

One small problem I didn't foresee. It is 90 today and we have the AC on and it is HOT in the master. 1 duct. WHEW. I am not thrilled at all on this. hubby is saying install another AC but THE ONE that is in the kid's bunk is loud. boy oh boy I am kinda on the fence what to do. another AC if I can? or ask if I can just run another duct into the bedroom so 2 ducts are spewing air?

just not sure how to proceed???? little overwhelmed cause long day and I fear this might be a 'hot' camper no matter how much that AC runs.

I don't know, just chatting out loud. Giving it another 1hr running and will go back in and check just how hot that master is after running. we shall see, I hope I am jumping to conclusion that one duct won't cool the room.

This is what we love to do in life. Use the campers and have worlds of fun, as much as we can! :) This is our one passion for fun and we sure enjoy it!

well I think I panicked a bit. cooling off a very hot camper on a 90 deg. takes some time. seems cool in kids bunkroom and main living but the master is still kinda hot. cool but too hot for me and hubby. we like COLD. gonna call and chat up the service guys on what we can do to get more air into that room on the cheap. so we shall see.

so far so good. nothing devasting but have to work thru a few bugs

UGH i know that feeling. We actually bought and installed a window unit  We were in a real pinch the house AC had gone out and we dropped 3K to fix it, then the one in the TT went out the next week when we were broke...we were at the KOA in West Memphis in JULY and I just could NOT hack it, even with the pool. It worked till we could get a new one :hu

I'd say another duct would be a royal pain in the tuckus, but maybe have the one serviced...possibly by the lot you bought it from since it is new and just came off the lot. If that doesn't work, I'd upgrade. When we got our new one in that TT we upgraded and it was SOOOOOOOOO much better.

Ours is like that. What we do on hot days is close off the vent in the master and close the door/divider. At night we close off the vents in the main living area. No point in cooling the areas that aren't being used. If we are going to take a nap during the day we close the one in the bunk house. It gets really cold in there and the kids are under blankets when the door is closed. Or sometimes I kick the kids out and snuggle under the blankets in one of their bunk beds.

Terri, I wish I could close off the ducts in the main living. they are just round open plastic duct vents. 3 in the main area and the ceiling is so high hubby has to bring in a ladder to swivel them to point in better directions. And they don't open or close. And being plastic I can't even use like a magnet cover to close them. BUT I wonder if they offer some kind of plastic cap to shut them off? I will find out. Cause I have 3 in the main area and even if I shut off 2 it should send alot more air into the bedroom. Hmm...off to find out if I can fandangle this lol

Mine are round and swivel but they close. If yours don't, maybe it would be possible to change them out.
