 thanks all

duh, Terri. that would probably be the cheapest way to maybe handle this. A second ac unit is pricey :p don't want to go that route if I can add some more cool into the bedroom.

I mean if I have 3 in the main living, then I can change out 1 (or 2) and should get away easy. THANKS alot.

She's sure a pretty one!!!!!!! Having your awning out will definitely help to keep things cooler! I don't know anything about newer 5th wheels so I am looking forward to seeing how you all handle the a/c issue!

yea it stinks. it does cool the room but not to hubbys satisfaction (or mine) but he is worse...lol..he has to be cold to sleep! :)

I am on a RV forum. everyone is informing me big time over there. I will be talking iwth the dealer about options how they can get me more ac in that room.
I know they will come up with something (hopefully not expensive )

We have the opposite problem in our MH. The bedroom is freezing cold, and the living area is still warm. We took it in, and found out that, unless it's hooked up to 50 amp service, the bedroom A/C is the primary, so no matter how much we mess with the thermostat, it won't help  One thing we do have that is really nice in the summer is awnings on all the windows and a white rubber roof. Cuts way down on the heat build up!

SS that stinks it gets that cold like that. I have been lucky all my campers were evenly cooled except this front bedroom in the 5th.

the primary is in the bedroom, then you are right, not much you really can do. Our unit is in kiddos bunkroom in back. I can see I will have to shut off the main big vent too cause she could freeze back there. but being in a bunk, at least she has that top bunk to keep her out of the line of fire of the vents

awnings, love and hate relationship. :p

fortunately we never had the problem, but we have seen what wind can do. nothing worse than seeing that awning up and over the roof.

Sister-in-law and her DH just lost ANOTHER awning this weekend :/ All our window awnings are strapped down (which is great, except that you have to go outside with a hook to roll them back up. DH taught me to always drop the big awning to its lowest position if a storm/high winds threaten. By just doing that, the worst we've had is a 6 inch tear - easily mended. Tried to tell the SIL that too, but they wouldn't listen to him. Guess they like to go awning shopping :idunno

awnings are not cheap. sure don't want to have to replace one of those. wind damage is not covered under insurance. your own your own to foot that bill.

we sure are careful with ours. dark clouds, possible storm, high winds we roll her up. not worth not rolling it up.

I would think the wallet hit would eventually make anyone learn
