hey!! now i'm swilling bacon martini's?????

Tonight I am making monster burgers on the grill in a while.

NOW I AM turning them into BACON burgers. WOW I love bacon burgers slathered with cheese.....yup--dinner is set!

I saw a method on the food channel for bacon burgers that I want to try.

First, they boiled the bacon to render a lot of the fat out. Then they took the lean with some fat still there and roughly chopped it and formed it into a patty the same size as the burger. Thin in this case. And then they fried it with a weight on it to flatten and compress. That was the second patty on the burger and it was all crispy bacon. I kinda liked that idea. Although knowing me I wouldn't boil, I would keep the fat. Pork fat rules.

OMG that sounds wonderful!

I don't think there isn't any meal that a good bunch of bacon on top can't fix...LOL

I love bacon bits in salads. Just adds so much flavor.

When I make bacon I make tons of it and freeze or chop up into bacon bits to add to salads and such.

There is a restaurant I saw on food channel. On Thursday night is "Beer and Bacon" night. Anyone who orders a beer at the bar gets a side bowl of bacon....crispy long delish bacon to snack on......my kind of bar!!!

LOL, I used to love bacon burgers before I became vegetarian. It was one of the few meat dishes I liked.

the funniest thing about veg's and bacon - most of the folks i know who are vegetarian will still eat bacon! there is just something about its smokey goodness.... and yes pork fat RULES!

i think i want to go to that bar......bacon on the side? golly that sounds like heaven...
