Funny story about eggnog.....

Two years ago I decided I wanted *real* eggnog, rum and all. So Ernie and I went to the store for the rum (should tell you how much we don't drink lol)...we didn't get rum...we couldn't remember what we were supposed to get for *real* eggnog, so we bought Vodka.....WORST EGGNOG EVER!!!!!!

Last month was cleaning out the fridge, and there was that near full bottle of Vodka! Since learned it should have been kept in the freezer, and my goodness was that stuff POTENT after 2 years in the fridge!

We dumped it out and recycled the glass bottle.

That's funny.

I tried making my own eggnog too. It took a few recipes before I got a good batch. But we don't drink a lot of eggnog in our house, so I mostly just made pancakes with it.

honestly i cant wrap my head about real eggnog... i'm not icked out by much of anything... but thats one i cant do.

I have a friend in TX who has the best TX accent...

I asked her if she liked eggnog and she said, in a perfect TX accent, "Nope, I don't like eggs or nog." Ahh, still makes me smile!

Both my husband and I have a friend from college, who first heard of quesadillas in the cafeteria in college. He didn't know how to pronounce it though. So he ordered the "quay-sa-dillos" My husband and I like to pronounce it like that at our house.
