This topic is for those of us who love snow or are trying to make the most of snow in a positive active way!
Although, not a sport to my knowledge, I finished shoveling my long driveway. We have about 2' of snow on the ground where it isn't drifting to 3 1/2'. It is easy to see accomplishment, saves me $40 each time I don't call the plow, strength workout, minor vitamin D.

I love cross country skiing :love :love :love :love :weee
I've got the shorter skis for faster racing, which I do when the snow cooperates with the race dates.

I don' t do the skate skiing.
I'm so into the cross country skiing that I haven't tried snowshoes yet.

Occasionally go downhill skiing, but not always affordable.
Took months of ice skating lessons, but never felt relaxed about falling on ice. :/ Rink was always jammed with people, too.

2 inches? is that all?

We've got about 25 on the ground right now.

I am hoping to get the snowmobile out this weekend........but honestly.....it's been almost too cold to enjoy it!

If I can get my dog off of my sled, that is!

Seeing as Mississippi hardly ever gets snow or ice, it's a super novelty & we make do. No sleds in the toy stores, or skies or snow boards.

We slide down ice covered hills on cardboard boxes, kiddie swimming pools, truck bedliners, anything that will slide :p

There is the ever popular "Lets make the truck do as many 360 spins as possible" also known as frozen donuts. Then there's always the "Lets try to make it up the ice covered hill with no tire chains & slide all the way back to the bottom, over & over again"

When it snows & we get some accumulation, we make mini-snowmen, because we only have enough snow in the whole yard to make one 1' high :p

I like to crunch puddles :D

I used to sled and ice skate.

Now...not so much.

(Does huddling inside under a pile of blankets, watching tv and drinking cocoa count as a sport?)

I've taken the kids out a couple of times to cruise down little hills, but right now its just TOO cold to do any of that, 5-10 minutes and frostbite sets in on bare skin!

Hahaha! Wipe that ice off your goggles- I typed 2 feet, lol! :gig
Since I posted that we have been averaging 2 inches per hour and I easily have another 6 inches on top of the 24 inches. :p

Your dog is into some serious snow activities or serious posing.
