oh and I didnt swirl. I used a laddle and plopped a few scoops of orange and then a brown then a few orange and so on. In the end, I got this. I was too afraid that if i swirled i would blend it too much and i wanted a thick band. I should of plopped gentler tho, i have a couple of air bubbles, and I forgot to tap the loaf to remove those. Oh well.

15.3 oz lard
15.3 oz olive oil
12.8 oz coconut
2.5 oz castor oil
5.1 oz sunflower oil

3 tbsp sugar and 1 1/5 tsp. of salt added to the water before adding lye

3 oz pumpking puree

3 tsp pumpkin pie spice

a squirt of ginger essential oils

7.2 oz lye
15 oz water

BOth lye and oil I brought to 100 degrees.

Dont forget to tap your mold. haha.

Enjoy. Im really thrilled with it.

if you dont mind the spice of cinnamon essential you could add that, but it irritates my skin.

The spice speeds trace, It took less than five mins, for me using a hand blender.

sorry i uped the amount from the recipe, i used 3 T.
the origional called fro 2 T. Thats tablespoons. Sorry.

oh and the origional recipe added two oz of FO. Thats why I uped it.

I figured it was something like that! I looked at the spices at the "ethnic" grocery store tonight and they had lots of cheap stuff that would probably make good colorants....annatto, something called amarillo, turmeric..... I'm into experimenting mode!
