The sky was on fire today. Ok it was just that strange object called the sun that we haven't seen in a while. I got a few pictures this afternoon.

Old biddies club hanging out soaking up the reflected heat on the doorstep. Brahma is 5 I think and as you can tell from, she's not laying. The EEs and ameraucana are 7. Those girls are giving me an egg or two a week.

I actually pulled the camera out today. One of the herons that flies over sometimes landed in one of my trees today.

This is the half sister to the silkie x ameraucana. She's silkie x hatchery EE.

And one of the mostly feather blind silkie hens. She was a bit damp, but that didn't help. Most of the hens dunk their heads in the water bowls.
