LOL about Madonna!

yea dress up at the barn, kills me every time I wear my "a bit better" clothes down to the barn to feed fast or do a fast chore and BOOM, ruined! I give up on trying to keep things pristine around here! :(

coats especially. in winter I always end up wearing a good coat to the barn and end up with hoof marks or something from jumping goats...honestly ya can't win! :(

I have some old summer sun dresses I first starting wearing when I broke my wrist and couldn't pull up jeans. I wore them *everywhere*. I love them because they are really comfortable and wash & wear too. :)

Earlier this year I got the opportunity to attend a Woman of Faith conference in Cleveland with a group of women from church. The first day, I wore one of my summer dresses. I figured if I was going to be in a crowded arena, I might as well be comfortable. Everyone else in the group wore jeans, khakis or shorts.

You would not believe the amount of kidding I got for wearing a dress! When I said "It's a barn dress!" Everyone accused me of having "formal wear" as a requirement to enter the barn..... I still get kidded about barn formal wear from these gals.... and I wasn't wearing heels or pearls!

I have:

Wellies for field and farm work
Faux Crocs for chicken coop shoes
Skateboarding shoes for school
Hiking/Sneaker style Ariat boots for riding and other less dirty farm work
Black M-J's for going out
A few pairs of flats in various colours
Running shoes for jogging
Birkenstocks for bumming around

and a bunch of others for when my farm shoes are too wet to wear and I need something to wear out hahaha, I sound like I have a lot, but most of them are well over 2 years old with the exception being my riding boots and M-J's
