Not for me! :p

But my mother. My mother and father divorced a couple of years ago and my father is already remarried, but my mother is still alone and looking.

It seems to her that all the good ones are married. Where in the world do you find a gardener, handyman, Christian in today's world?

Of course now, I'm going to have to remove the sufficientself link from her favorites, for fear she'll find this! LOL :hide

Edited for aweful grammar.

oh this is hard....cause you can meet Mr. Right just about anywhere.

in the craziest places and under the weirdest situations sometimes.

I don't know how to help on this one other than get out there. get some hobby clubs, get out into the limelight and meet people and continue to meet people as much as possible and somehow you bump into that guy.

I've been looking around some hobby clubs.

I think the poultry clubs are a good place. Because many people that have chickens, also venture into gardening and other hobbies. I tell mom to join some groups, but I always get the 'I don't have that kind of time.' Still working on getting her to join some groups.

yea it is the kind of thing that you got to have some strength for...like getting up and getting out of the house...LOL

I would think though the more you meet people, the better the odds???

If you find an extra, send me one. He doesn't have to be a Christian.

That's the million dollar question, isn't it? Looked for many, many years and, yes, all the good ones seem to be taken...at least in my corner of the world!

Finally gave up and have been quite content to pursue my own SS dreams ever since. Don't really care if I find one or not now, which, as folks continually tell me, is the exact time one will find me!

I am really enjoying my "single-ness" now days and would be a little disconcerted to be presented with an opportunity that I used to pray for....... :p

Hope she finds contentment in her single life, or finds the elusive "Good Man" when she really needs him! :)

Keep busy doing the stuff she enjoys.
Go anywhere that is connected to her hobbies and interests- as long as it's public. (No use being the only person there)
Some big bookstores have seats in the stacks. Grab a couple books on stuff you want to learn about and do some reading there.
Go to meetings about anything you are curious about. Tell friends that she would like to meet someone.

that was a good last line Dragon

TELL friends you are looking. Sometimes that blind date setup might be the one...never know.
