My Hubby is normally home and wakes up wanting the t.v. - news :barnie and then gets hungry. I hate the news when I'm half asleep- don't want all that nasty stuff when I'm starting my day. :th It takes longer for my belly to wake up too.

Mine is home a couple of times a week while he works out of the house catching up on paperwork and making phone calls. I tend to get really lazy when he's home and nothing gets done. Just like to bask in his presence y'know. LOL! We both get a little insane if we get to Home Depot. Suddenly we have all these ideas about things we want to do to the house and farm and if we're not careful the budget goes out the window. I LOVE Home Depot, Sears....not so much.

my man is off work also.. there is an active betting pool on when exhaustion will drive him back to a regular job. my motto here is "there is no 'fun' in farming" and "there are no union rules here." he tells folks that at least with a job he got regular breaks.

sure i let him sleep in the first 3 or 4 days after he got laid off. then i got mad after i had been out there for a couple hours alone, stomped in, kicked the covers off him and declared

"get up Sally, this aint no summer camp!"

unfortunately for him, i didnt leave my Type A personality in my corporate life.
;-)

he's the bad shopper tho, and any new project is an excuse to go and buy some new gadget. me, i just head out with a shovel and a hammer and get most things done that way.

however, the loading guy at the closest Sears still cant believe the 12" compound mitre saw was for me! whoot! i love tools!!!

:)

Before this job, where we are together 24/7 traveling, DH was a truck driver. I had a specific routine during the week(s) when he was gone, and when he would pull in the drive, I knew my day was shot! I would try to get everything 'important' done prior to his arrival. My laundry, vacuuming, general cleaning, etc. simply because I knew it wouldn't happen when he was around.

Shopping? Thats his middle name!!! haha He loves to shop, whether its clothes, groceries, or tools. Heck, keeping him out of the auction house, flea market, and antique shops is a chore!! I have told him that when we finally settle into the homestead, he will have quite the list o' chores each day, as well as each weekend. I'm not having him 'in my road' when he is home!!

Thanks for that laugh!

Mine sleeps almost all day now with the new job...but, is off 3 days. :barnie I just stay outside working as much as possible...to keep him from wanting to go to Lowe's. Now that he works for them, and gets a discount, he thinks we need to shop there every weekend! :barnie He gets " that look" in his eyes, and I pinch him in that tender spot under the arm...snaps him right out of it! ;)

Being one of those "husbands" you speak of.....I will admit my weakness is for beer, tools, beer, firearms, beer, ammo, anything that "might" make hunting a little easier. And did I mention BEER????

I was lucky.
Money spent wasn't bad--only $250.
Didn't even go to Sears cause Nicole got too tired.
$23 at Walmart
$220 at Sam's Club.
Did a stock up on tons of items since I was right there. Got good basics in the pantry again (oh, $180 spent, a DARN $40 for my renewal fee to the stupid store--kills me big time to pay that..LOL)

Great Job FarmerChick that's the way.

I have been trying to cut Cost Co from my routine. See if I can live without the bulk stuff. Every time I go I just spend way to much money. Uggg!!!!

I know Gina
I say if they want my money ---why make me pay a fee to join.
I don't like it. I might just let it lapse over this year and not join again.
honestly for the price it "almost doesn't seem worth it" cause bulk is very expensive!!!! one trip costs alot of money at one shot! :(
