I can wait. I didn't mind the snow when we lived closer to civilization. We live on top of a hill and the winds are horrible during the winter. Snow drifts everywhere. Just a general pain in the rear. The older you get, the less enjoyable the cold is.
First freeze is forecast tonight for us also. I've covered as much of the garden that I can, but it isn't near enough. Oh well. I guess that it's time to get ready to start tilling everything under.
I can wait....but I'll enjoy it all the same when it comes. I'm a weirdy when it comes to weather. Other than the extremely glaringly hot, life-sucking drought we got this summer, I generally like the seasons to last just as long as they should....I love the variety!
Today was so beautiful that I was in awe and felt like the hand of God was touching me all day long! I just kept turning my face to the sky and thanking Him for loving me.....
I think I would get bored without three very different and very distinct seasons too:>) Although the middle of winter is my least favorate time of year, I do like it's beginnings, and especially it's end
We might get a frost tonight, so I just might be picking everything in the garden. Next week, I'll be starting to get the garden and yard ready for winter, as well as getting a bunch of wood cut up. Someone gave me several pickup loads of wood earlier in the year. But, it's all in long lengths and I just haven't had the time to cut and split it. It's funny, I have a husband and an adult son that still lives at home. And, guess who does the firewood.
