Its getting cold!!

Still doing apples...... winter can hold off for a minute!

All my apples to store rotted, and fell off the tree. But the chickens are using them so....it equals up.

I still have 3 huge trees full of the best tasting apples! We are juicing and saucing a little each day but life is a busy thing and we won't get to utilize all this bounty. The orchard floor is covered in red and green!

I will store some for our use in the attic where it stays cold but not freezing. The rest will be stored in my shed to be used for sheeples....they don't mind if they get rotten down the line. In the dead of winter, those apples are like manna from Heaven to them.

I think I just waited to long. But the chickens are loving em so what the heck. Out of the yellow apple trees, I got applesauce which can be sauce or pie filling (dual purpose apples). The weather man said rain changing into snow, nothing that will stick but white flaky stuff from above.
