Seems like everyone is having garden problems this year. At least someone some where on the commercial scale had produce that made enough for us to be able to buy. It is frustrating to put in all that work and then "NOTHING".

I was so frustrated I said no more. After a lot of foot stomping and fowl (no thats not misspelled) language, along with rants about how gardens are to much work with no payoff - screaming that grocery stores sell the stuff, ya-da- ya-da. DH tilled everything under and I saw all that fresh soil and could not help myself. I planted my fall crop.

Tenacity hopefully pays off.

I just had to say that/post it.

First time I have presented anything political on my journal.

Most folks will be saying "what", I thought he was right winged?

Nope, I fall right in the middle, I don't need to follow any party. I don't need to follow any preachings of the bible that ask me What Would Jesus do?

I also don't follow the idea I am a fish.

I do believe that our Mother Earth is our body. She is now ill, and has been for many years. I don't believe in green house effect, I do believe man is destroying Mother Earth through carelessness. Mother Earth is in a cycle, man has sped this process forward through carelessness over the last 200 years.

Hows that for political view?

Where are my friends now?

I think maybe your view of some right winged folk might be skewed, but that's my opinion. I have no problem with what you believe, but it came off to me like you are trying to start something. :hu But it's your journal, so you can rant and rave all you want, I'm not gonna argue with you.

There you are.... :hugs

Oh, I wasn't having a rant on politic'in issues at all, just seems to be the topic these days is all.

I tell what I think is cool, just about all of us were "green" minded long before it became "cool" :hugs

Isn't that the truth?!

Wanna know what irks me? People saying "let's go green" yet they just came down our road this week and cut down all the trees 15 ft within power lines :ep That's not green!

DH told the guys, "Wanna go green? Stop using electric!"

They didn't get our trees. They put the power poles and lines right through our yard, and we have a lot of Tulip Poplars that we planted. DH told them if they wanted the lines to be away from the trees, then move them poles and all out of yard!

The best part of living in this country is that we don't all have to pretend to think alike, we don't (yet) live in the novel 1984. We are all different, we have different economic, political, nutritional, emotional & sustainable views. And thats just fine. Imagine how boring it would be if we didn't have anything to argue about ;)
