Sorry no squirrel kabobs for us. My dh would just about die, or kill me. Great job on the SS fund. Keep up all the great work.

Tony's grandma would hunt squirrel and they loved it....Tony would shoot them but never eat them....haha

They are hard to hunt...little suckers are fast and those trees sure help them hide.

I am a hunter/grower/gatherer for my family, but I won't kill anything if I am not going to eat it.

There are a lot of trophy hunters out there, I heard a story last year how two hunters wounded a cub to draw in its mother and killed the mother than killed the cub. Several hours after the cub had been wounded, the mother came back to help and was shot as a trophy.

Bears, yup, there out there somewhere. From time to time, they visit us here as well. I am almost sure the family dog only goes wee on the steps when she smells a bear.

I also know S. Kiser is a trophy hunter, so I am keeping this a secret. He doesn't hunt for food, he hunts for a reward. If the kill doesn't suit him, he hunts on and doesn't tag his kill.

If you post and tell me how much you love bear meat, I'd ask you why? Compared to a fisherman, it would would be like eating a carp raw.....

Look, if it was gud eats, I'd be eating it....

So here is momma bear and cub, I think her second cub saw the camera and played with it.

I did have a cross shot from another camera, but it only should a hair ball.
