Snow?

We are having a heat wave :/ I wish we woudl get snow...maybe just once or three times would do me :D

When I was a kid I lived up in some local So Cal mountains near Big Bear, for two winters. As a kid it was wonderful! I will never forget looking out our kitchen window admiring my very own icicles (sp?) as they glistened in the sun.

Is this early for snow, or is it on schedule?

Around here it's not unusual to get snow starting early November. Not much more than flurries for the most part, thank goodness. Ease us into it slowly.
It has stopped already. I had to send the kids to school in last year's coats. Tried to convince them that 3/4 length sleeves are "in" :p

Dace, I'd rather have our snow than your heat wave. I know, I'm odd :D I don't do heat very well.

Last night coming home from my parents' house, I came across slushy roads in Lorain County. There was actually a 3 car accident on the other side of SR 20 and salt trucks were out. But this is pretty far north in Ohio.

I would have been glad to send you a lot of snow last year! We had record snowfalls for this area. The only way I was able to take care of the animals was on snowshoes. :/

I don't know what I'm doing today. My sister might stop in because her kids don't have school today so that will be nice. Then I have to work on a meal for tonight. Luckily I already did the dishes, laundry, cleaned up the living areas and started the bread this morning so I can sit and chill for a few minutes.
I do need to vacuum the cobwebs out of the front porch, so I guess that's outside :D

Yep, it's a holiday. Some schools get it off, some don't. My kids are in school. LOL, I thought yesterday was Tuesday all day. I confused my kids royally. It was kinda funny
The last of the turkey is going into soup today. Turkey barley leek soup, mmmm.
I cleaned out my freezer for my pork delivery :bun (I think we need some porky smilies!)

(OFG)Are you going to use that smokehouse you mentioned? The more I read on the Springhillfarms website, the more I liked. i have no problem paying their prices for the great job they are doing. and I think their prices are really reasonable. Ack, my shift key is being fussy.
