Anytime Deb! Uh, except for today. Seems DH decided to fix a light fixture that was blowing out light bulbs and now I have no power in my kitchen until he figures the darn thing out

It will be nice to have light over the sink again :)

I did find a recipe that looks good to me though http://en.petitchef.com/recipes/bake-raspberry-danish-fid-869121

I wrote out my schedule down to the smallest detail for the rest of the month and it kinda made me want to cry. But I persevere. I can make it through. I had to put it in writing though because I was forgetting to do important things. 2 birthdays and multiple holiday parties make me feel like I have no control.
I can't believe it's almost the end of the year. The kids have their last day of school tomorrow! I need to hide the presents today.

My baby turned 4 yesterday. Happy birthday JoyJoy! I got her this doll that's as big as she is and it looks just like her (and it was super cheap!) She named it 'Ryan Littlehug' She comes up with creative names for all her toys, and I'm pretty sure she thinks they are all alive, just like she is. I love this kid!:love
This photo is from last year. All my good photos of her are on the other computer. Add it to the "to do" list.

What a cutie!!!! :love This is the time of year when a lot of people run around in circles..trying to get it "all" done. Not me...I go with the flow...if it gets done, fine...if not...well...oops. I just can't be stressing now...so, I wont.

This is really the only time of year when I don't go with the flow. Other people still get to dictate my schedule. *ahem, MIL* now, she's not usually THAT bad, but case in point: I told DH not to schedule anything on Christmas eve day because we always have last minute stuff to do. I also told him that I will have energy to go up there and spend the day once, not twice. She always holds a party for great-grandma, and we are also 'required' to open all presents with all his siblings. Now those two things usually occur on the same day, and it's exhausting chaos, but do-able. I'm sure DH told her it has to be on the same, but she mysteriously forgot and planned opening presents on the 24th and great-grandmas party on the 26th. This is an hour trip one way, so alot of driving involved. So I said I'll be at great grandmas party, but not present opening because I told you I need that day to do stuff at home - cooking, wrapping presents, last minute shopping etc. I can't be traveling. I also don't want to be away from home for long because of the animals and there have been alot of daytime burglaries in the area. So I get to be a 'bad guy' this year.

You are not being the bad guy. You are making sure that next year if she wants you there for present opening time, that she schedules it at a time that works for everyone.

I have to drive a one hour trip to visit my relatives as well and it just is difficult sometimes to be the one doing all the driving.

When our kids were little, my hubby wanted to run around to all the in-laws (read that as his family) for Halloween. I finally put my foot down. It's 10 minutes to 1 sister, then 30 minutes to his other sister, then 20 to his brother, and another 20 to his mother. It was just too much. And that doesn't even take in if I had wanted to go to my parents, or my one brother who does live in this area. Basically, I felt like I was doing this :barnie and :weee but w/out the smile!

So, good for you for NOT driving yourself nuts.
