Gale looks like she is gonna blow. I missed Spice actually kidding. I wanted to see it because I am super-stressed that I have so many does bred, all due at once, it seems, and I have yet to have an uneventful kidding (out of three) here with these goats! So I am hoping to see some uneventful kiddings, and from what I see, Spice was probably uneventful.

Even though all the kiddings from our dairy does when I was a kid were uneventful, my recent experience has been too exciting and my imagination is running wild with me....plus over at byh, so many people post when they have trouble, it can seem like there is ONLY trouble. Sheesh. I need a massage! :p

I am up way past my bedtime, but I can't turn it off. I just made the kids go to bed but I think me and DH are gonna watch for awhile.

Spice was textbook. She was quite the drama queen leading up to it, but once it was time she went very quickly.
This has been great for me - seeing 2 does doing labor in opposite ways. Gale has hardly moved around at all. Spice acted like she was going to tear the stall down. I think that's how mine are going to be - my Perdy is so calm and Rory is a moody stinker  Not long now for me - week of Feb 11. We can do this!

She had a quad? Man, that must have hurt! Just one question, how does a goat give birth to a quad, and what make is it? :hide

I checked it out last night and she was really uncomfortable one time when she lay down. I don't know if it was a nose or a knee or what but something was sticking straight out of her side. Looked really goofy! Quads! Is that common in goats? I thought triplets was about the max?

Haha. The make would be 3 girls, 1 boy. Very compact. :D

Quads aren't as common but can happen. one of my does has had quads, but that was before I owned her.
