The kids have started pip-popping around. They are following their mamas outside of the barn this morning to check out the world, then they quickly bounce back in for some heat therapy :love I think the sweaters will come off today.

I just put sweaters on my girls last night. It was -4* this morning and frigid! I could feel icicles forming in my nostrils with each breath!

But my girls are hip hopping around now too, and I've allowed everyone to be together again. The other older does (there's 4 of them) are being very nice to the babies and don't seem to mind them much. They even sleep outside the barn in the cold and let Fudgie and the girls have the entire barn to themselves!

Enjoy the warmth today...later next week we're supposed to get a 'heat wave' I can't wait!

Lori, this party is 24/7. Just stop by when you can :D - Are you getting does in milk along with the kids? I can't remember.

The sleep loss I had earlier in the week is still affecting me a bit. My brain feels fuzzy and slow today. I was hoping DH could spend some time at home during kidding week, but he just piled on with work and he's been interviewing people for an open job in his department, so :tongue

So far the does have no horn buds growing, but the buckling was born with them. I got my disbudding iron a couple days ago and may have to use it tomorrow.

Good luck with the disbudding. That is the one thing that makes me nervous but I am sure someone in our 4-H group will be able to help when it comes to that.

I'd do it if I were closer! I love stuff like that! My nubian babies don't yet have any buds....my friend who has an x30 is bringing it over tomorrow so I can use it at my leisure. Grow horns, grow!
