Getting video of the kids is not going so well :p Every time I step outside with the camera they all stop to stare at it. My kids like shiny things  I'm going to have to take some undercover video from somewhere.
The mamas are so protective - they allow the cats to come in the pen, but as soon as our dog steps foot outside they round up the babies, stand in front of them and 'guard' them from our dog. Our dog who just wants to mother them and lick them and drool on them...yeah, it's pretty funny. They raise the hair on their back and snort and stomp and look ferocious. They have tried to butt her through the fence and she doesn't get it, so the mamas then herd the babies right back into the barn. It's a circus here :bun

I could probably take video from any of the windows on the back of the house. If I can shoot birds from a window, why not shoot some video :p I never did hit any of those dang starlings but I had fun (BB gun only) I think my theme song is "Let's Give Them Something to Talk About"

Maybe they'd see their reflections and wonder who the new friends were....and then try to impress them with backflips.

Java, I think I remember seeing a pic somewhere of your fencing. Can you tell me what kind of fencing you have and do you have wooden posts or T posts and how that's working for you.

I saw Lori's fencing and it is beautiful but I am not sure I want to do wooden posts yet. We are hoping to move in a year or 2 and I wanted to try and just do T posts for now until we get more land. I just found out my bonus this year is going to be more than we thought and I should have enough to pay my debt and maybe get the goats in the next month or so. :D :ya :celebrate

Awesome Sekin!
We used the RedBrand goat fencing from TSC. Pricey, but worth it. Set it on 6 foot t-posts, with wood 4x4 posts at the gate, and the special corner brackets for t-posts at the corners. Sinking the posts into the ground in the middle of a dry summer wasn't the most fun we've ever had, but the fencing went up easy enough after that. We probably didn't stretch it as much as we could have. You are welcome to stop out and see it if you'd like.
Here's a really bad photo of it :p

I can't seem to get pictures of my goats either. There is a thread over at BYH where people have been trying to take close up face pictures of their goats...it is pretty funny. Whenever I come out, they think the camera must be some interesting new food. All I get is reaching noses.
