In studies using elderberry syrup it worked as good or better than the prescription flu drug Tamiflu so that's why I said I need to get some made.

Elderberries grow wild in Arkansas and probably a lot of other places. I googled it and found out what the bushes looked like and it turns out there was one on our property. They were ripe in July about the same time as the blackberries. You can buy dried elderberries online if necessary. It is worth it for the flu and cold season.

That is why Elderberry Jelly is an "old timer". The elderberries grow wild around here, and they are free!

Interestingly, the feds closed down a place that was making and marketing elderberry juice - making pharmaceuticals without a license? But it's ok to sell people chicken laced with arsenic.

Crazy, crazy, crazy...what is in fruit juice that constitutes the label pharmaceutical? Why isn't 'Welch's in trouble or 'Tropicana'? Oh, I know, money talks!

This is a basic problem in our economy & society today -- and why many are going "back to the land". SOME people are looking for the "old timers" way of being healthy.

Well I got four and a half pints of elderberry syrup made. It was the first time I'd ever tasted it, much less made it. Its taste is reminiscent of blackberry. When you are sick with flu or upper respiratory problems you are to take a couple tablespoons ever four hours. It sure taste better than Robitussin, lol.

It got rid of my flu (aches and all!) in just over 24 hours. I started taking it as soon as I realized what I had. Elderberry does nothing for a common cold though- it's a one trick pony.
