Still painting at my house too. I KNOW how that back feels. :/

So did you pop some right on the stove? I would have! Of course I started eating a whole lot MORE popcorn when I finally got a pan set with glass lids! :gig I like to "watch 'em pop" too! :p

The baby's room sounds just beautiful :)

I had a friend who used the same pepto bismal pink.....ugh it is an awful shade of pink! Absolutely not usable as a wall color, I like how you are using it as an accent, I'll bet that looks great :thumbsup

Glad to hear that you FINALLY have a decent weekend coming up! Get out and enjoy it....we are expecting rain, which I like on a weekend when I can lounge...not such a fan of shuttling the kids around in rainy weather though.

So glad the baby shower went well!

How blessed you are in your DIL! I love that she trusts you to do the nursery! (makes me miss my MIL even more!)

and Congrats on all that snow melting! wish ours would melt....well, melt faster than it is...It is melting, but slowly. We're supposed to be up in the 50's by Sunday, so E thinks most or all of our snow will be gone by next week (I hope so!). We are supposed to get some little snow flurries tomorrow, but not supposed to be getting any accumulating snow - which means they changed our predicted weather for this week.

Originally they said we had a big storm coming on Wednesday, but the most recent weather reports shows the "big storms" have broken up and there's no forseeable (sp?) storms in our near future! whoot!!

Well...here we are...March. We didnt " march in like a lion"....so no "out like a lamb?" I was watching the news last night, and they were talking about this "El nino winter" we just had. He went on to say, they checked the last few times we had one...and the spring was "mild" as for tornados and such. Hmmm, maybe we WONT flood this spring?? Ohhh, One can wish. However, this also means, a dry summer...so I am getting my rain barrels set up, and Quick! This weekend, we are supposed to have sun, and mid to high 50's!!!:weee Time to get outside and get a few things cleaned up, now that most of the snow is gone, and I can see the YUK that it was covering. I have had my eye on a place, I see every time I go into town. They have this frame to a green house...and for the last 5 years, I have NEVER seen plastic over it. HMmmm, Im gonna stop one day amd inquire about it. Heck, they might just be glad for me to take it off thier hands! :D Hopefully they will let me have it, or at least sell it to me cheap! It looks to be about 12 x 20. Sure would be nice to have one.

Be brave and ask SOON!! I would hate for that greenhouse to get away from you.

Were going to have the same weather here, but I still have 8-10 inches of snow standing. If the weather here is dryer than it was last year I will be thankful, as most of the summer it rained, and rained some more.

I still have fears of the floods that may come, it was funny how just a week after I posted about my concerns, the news reported others having the same fears. I know that when the melt comes, the flood will begin here. It is my hope that before the weekend, higher temps, that the lower temps will melt more snow away slowly. If it doesn't, were going to be redneck kayaking through the yard. (redneck kayaking is when I take the boat to the top of the mountain and we ride down in it to the bottom into the creek in the flood waters) Last time I put a hole in the bottom of the boat, I will make sure the water is a bit higher this time.

Green house, Hmmm.... Yup stop in and have some cash on hand to offer up, I find it easier to get something when I have the cash on hand and offer it right then and there... I have gotten stuff like this dirt cheap right on the spot. Though I did pass up on some forming stakes some years ago. Guy offered them to me at 800.00 I didn't have the money at the time, later I offered the cash again but he decided he didn't want to sell them. I was so mad at him because they were worth 2k and I think he found out how much they were worth after he offered them to me for 800.00. I think he sold them on ebay...

So yesterday was a BEAUTIFULL day!! Absolutely and completely just beautifull. Not a cloud in the sky...and in the 50's!!
I set out in the morning to do the regular chores, feeding watering. I was side tracked quickly by the warmth of the sun. So I sat for a bit in the pasture with the sheep. Just watching them munch thier hay! The warm sun beating down on my face...I could have easily napped there. Opened all the animals barns to get a good airing out. Then I went to work on the "rescue pen" This pen is about 15 by 30, and I had chicken wire over the top. I raised turkey poults in there last year. So I took all the chicken wire off...and rolled it up, and drug the rolls to the back of the coop. I have table frames back there setting under the eaves holding spare cages, wire, and feed dishes. Trudging through 4 inches of mud, could not damper my spirits with the sunshine beating down on my back! I spent the next hour or so in one of the coops...the Banty shanty. I have 2 brooders in there, one with chicks and the other with a black silkie pair. I needed to clean them out, and switch them around. The Silkies were in the smaller one, and didn't have the head room they needed. So, moved lights, feeders, and chickens for the next hour...then started on the area for the ducks. Their new "home" will be UNDER the largest brooder. Im planning to cut a pop door in the wall to the outside and put up a small fence. They free range most of the time, but for times when we will be gone, I would like them to be contained and have a safe place to get into.
Today I will go get more Hay, and clean out the sheep barn. Another picture perfect day weather wise. :) Hubby was able to get me 15 "bales" of Alfalfa hay @ $3.00 a bale! These are in plastick bags, from TSC. A friend gets his there by the ton, and save alot of money, so he let us get 15 bales from him. Its in the truck, so I will move that to the barn this morning. Oh, and I stopped at that house Thursday....creep man came out and I asked him about the greenhouse frame. Before I could even finish my sentence, he said NO, and started walking away. :/ Oh well. Guess I will just build my greenhouse out of windows like I had originally planned. No biggie, will just take longer than I wanted it too!
OK, Im headed outside...to enjoy another beautifull day, and working on cleaning up this place. :)
