Aww, thanks Bee. I know I need to get to those 3 bags in the garage, and get them washed...soon! Like before it gets cold, and I cant get it to dry outside. Maybe tomorrow....we will see.

Are you sure that boy is Alpine? He looks a bit chubby to me! But I've never owned a wether...do they get chubby? The intact bucklings I've had sure don't! He could have some pygmy in him....they sure get chunky. Hence my girlses nickname, The Princesses Chunk.

Just don't put them on the fence to dry....I caught my gals making off with your lovely fleece in their mouths! :th Darn sheeples!!!! I had to rescue my wool and fast!

Still haven't bought carders for it yet but plan to complete the task this winter and make a pillow with it.

Yes, he looks rather short to be pure Alpine, but very pretty nonetheless! You should eat him and skin the hide!!

The goat looks to be very young. He has the coloring of an Alpine...and he is WAY taller than my pygmys. He is very chunky....well fed. I know the Lamanchas, usually sorta bony being milk goats get "fat" when they are neutered. The 3 boys I had were fat. Of course, I DID feed them pretty well. ;)
Bee, BAD sheeples! Glad you was able to save it! I am anticipateing winter, so I will have more time to spin...I have 2 bags full...of clean wool, and 2 smaller bags of "hair" from my Pomeranians. It spins up very pretty! I cant waite to get it all done.

So for the next 3 days...hubby is working day shift. I never realized the things I could get done without him here. LOL I was up at 6:45, got coffee.....and started laundry. Got 2 loads on the line before 8:30. Then I headed out to feed animals. Since I am now feeding the hog for butcher, I want to get food to him as often as I can. Problem with that is...the sheep think they need fed every time he gets fed. Hauled water to the pigs...made them each a good mud hole, then headed to the chicken coops. I finished feeding by 10 am. :D Got cleaned up, and headed to town...really needed to get feed, and a few groceries. The are doing road work on the main road between here and town, so the regular 15 minute drive took almost half an hour!:/ Got home about noon...unloaded the truck...then got to dinner. I had made a roasted chicken yesterday, so tonight was chicken and noodles, home made bread. I had picked a few green beans, not enough to can so I blanched them and put them in the freezer. Hubby got home about 3:45 and we ate fairly early. He normally works nights, so this day shift is taking its toll on him..he was hungry and tired. After dinner I went back out to feed the hogs again..give them more water, since they like to tip their water over. ( I need to come up with a better system there) The weatherman said we are to get some rain....OH I hope he is right. We need rain so desperately!!!! Closed the barn up, got the eggs, took the laundry from the line, and got my shower. Now I am sitting back, enjoying some TV time. Altho, I really need to go clean the kitchen...maybe in a few. LOL This coffee, and my comfy chair wont let me get up! If the rain cools things down...tomorrow I might fire up the oven, and make a peach cobbler.:drool
