JUSTUSNAK...Summer coming to an end!?

We need some more target practice. :lau

I had to dispatch a ground hog the other day. He had been digging under my rock pile since they took the beans off the field last week. I snagged him with a leg hold trap, and when I found him, he was NOT a happy camper. I couldn't get a head shot on him right away, because he was still buried under the rock pile. I put a couple of rounds into him about the shoulder, and he quit moving. I started to drag him out and he started screaming!! I gave him a .22 caliber headache to shut him up, but it still took 3 shots to do him in!!

WOW! The thing is....I know for SURE...3 of the 5 went into this creepy's head! He just didn't want to let go.

war of the critters!

ooeee, that must have been some mess. Good thing the ducks let you know something was out there!

That would have scared me to death. I was going to say maybe my 22 isn't the right farm gun. I am thinking we need something bigger. Maybe next time you can go OFG style and use a hatchet!!! :lau

Aww, what a waste of 'possum. A little seasoning, some sweet potatoes, and you would have had the makings of lunch. :D
I have it on good authority that it tastes like pork, just a bit greasy.
My former landlord's dad used to raise them like rabbits. They are creepy little buggers! The hissing gets me...

* runs away from keyboard screaming *
